"Discrimination Method of a Metal Detector"

One of Minelab’s newer patents published February 2016... an interesting read but it’s difficult to discern what is new from what is old. I’ve authored one patent years ago and, even then, it was sometimes difficult for one who is an expert in the field to discern the really new, patentable knowledge from what is generally known.

The big detector companies are always patenting stuff, most which we'll never see. it's a just in case thing.
