Minelab Equinox morning's catch

Found these where I personally had run CTX and Deus.
Loads of modern trash smaller, medium sized.

Other folks have hunted here too.
Barber dime a few wheats, and a few memorials. No zincs.

Nice job on the barber! What date is it?

TNSS question for you:

My friend Tom and I recently hit a little park and he was using his trusty Explorer2 and me the Multi Kruzer. Tom is one of the best deep turf detectorists I've ever met (and not too shabby at relic hunting too - LOL!).

He was cherry picking deep penny/dime signals with his Explorer2, and skipping all the surface clad and junk. I can tell you that the MK is not a good machine for cherry picking deep silver and wheaties intermixed with a sea of surface clad and other modern junk. If you took the time to clean out the surface to meduim depth targets, I have no doubt the MK would easily get the deeper silver and wheaties, but it wasn't doing too well in a sea of targets (which is odd, because it does great at relic sites).

Are you able to cherry pick deeper penny/dime signals with the EQ800, and skip surface to medium depth targets?

I sure don't want to start a ruckus by answering your question.

Your friend may be a good deep turf silver hunter, I've got news for him, you too, so far it looks like if you put stock coils on all fbs types even CTX, Equinox has good chance to find silver and copper behind all- no matter their skill level, I will even go out on a limb here and say. If we take a CTX and stock and smaller 6" coil, the Equinox with stock coil will find coins neither coil will on CTX. Likely coins in the 5-7" depth ranges, To add and Imdon't have smaller coil for Equinox, but if it's performance holds like the stocker coil except for loss of depth, using that small coil will definitely find coins that neither the CTX can wearing both the stock and 6" coil.

And we are talking modern trash, iron, etc as the culprits. (And possibly coin orientation).
Equinox not the king of all detecting scenarios but sure can take advantage of a lot of other detectors weaknesses including Deus.
A nice tool in the tool box.
Now beach hunting, all Imcan say, watch the vids, they are very eyebrow raising.

Just remember one thing.
Yes you speed up Equinox some depth loss, but don't let that get in your head. Even at 6 or 7 speed settings, it will slice and dice and ID too.

A little thing I'm noticing. In sites where the CTX has been, it is NOT speed setting 4 that's bringing home the finds, it's speed settings 6 and 7.
