Would you update your Deus to 5.1 if your not planning on getting the X35 coil?

Mine works just find at version 4.0.

I would.
The newer version at the very least will give you additional settings capabilities via headphone module. So if you indeed use a remote and it develops a problem you have the headphone module to fall back on.

For folks who may be unaware.
The latest and greatest supposedly Version update is indeed version 5.2.

There was an earlier publically released version labeled 5.2B03.

If one downloads now this below is what you’ll see in your window at Deus turn on.
I don’t know exaclty when the beta suffix designator was dropped.

My initial response to your question was lacking.
If you are using Low Freq coils the following is applicable. (Seems Hf coils -originals not affected as far as detection, they are affected as far as how GB works though.)
I forget to mention a new setting brought forward with Deus version 4.1 and continues with future newer version updates.
Especially since you may hunt in higher mineralized soil, versions 4.1 and newer can give advantage to locating nonferous finds.

It involves the new setting “ground sensitivty setting”.

I have tested this new setting “ground sensitivty setting” in the field.
