Tom
Do you go beach hunting often? After your post about the 1715 Plate Fleet goodies 14 to 17 feet under the sand that dampened my enthusiasm.Do you still hunt "micro jewelry" from time to time? Thanks Bill

My forte' is "old coins". BUT,,,,, since I live on this Treasure Coast/Gold Coast..... yes, I do hunt the beaches..... especially after storms. And once in a while.... micro-jewelry hunt.... if I need to lose weight!

I thik Tom is correct saying most are too deep be it 17 inches or 17 feet however due to violent storms or wave action over the years some are found as some end up on beaches in the range of standard detectors. Point in question hunting a N.J. shore found a Spanish Realle (1781) and ran into a woman detectorists the same day who had found a similiar coin.
