2 videos.
If you watch the first one, you can fast forward in the second video where Nox is run with 6" coil.

THANKS David!
Believe it or not...... in your video............. the EQX is hitting the foil JUST as strong as the D2. BUT........ the EQX is hitting it as iron!!!!........ AND........... truthfully......... wet-salt ID's (falses) as a -6.........so the small piece of foil looks like wet-salt to the EQX.
Sooooooo......... if the D2 is hitting the foil AND calling it a non-ferrous......... the D2 clearly wins.

Now...... if that dime-sized piece of foil was resting on the wet-salt......... the equation will change. The EQX might not see it at all........ and the D2 could possibly call the foil as 'iron'.

Good videos. Very clear. No gimmicks!

(( I believe the D2 is using a higher grouping of frequencies...... as compared to the EQX; hence, higher sensitivity to low conductors......in a wet-salt environment )).

NEVER MOVE THE COIL......... when you are performing a Noise Cancel !!!
Thanks for responding Tom. You are the expert !
Few things.
And Equinox beach hunters who hunt with Deus 2 may try this.
So wonder if we on a deus 2 located target in wet salt sand, a target that yields no ID in deus 2 meter,, wonder if we swept these targets with EQuinox?
Wonder if Equinox would give little to no tone (with horseshoe dissengaged) on these kinds of Deus 2 reporting targets?

Now, I am wondering how Deus sensitive program compares to prospecting modes on Equinox. Realizing Deus 2 has a goldfield program too boot.

And finally here.
I have been talking to Calabash. We bounce ideas off each all the time.
So our discussion tonite was, how do the salt setting, sensitivity and reactivity play here.
Meaning where to start?

Does lowering reactivity yield more depth vs higher sensitivity?
How high does one run salt setting, before they set their reactivity for stability sweeping on wet salt sand.

So basically Calabash is using settings that seem to be working on wet salt sand.
Question is, can he fine tune and have even better performance?
And considering the default settings in Beach sensitive programs could be clues.

So jury is still out.

David.......that is EXACTLY correct.

And........ a Noise Cancel channel may play a role in determining where: Salt, Reactivity and Ground Balance settings finally land.

Also........ TOTALLY UNSUSPECTING.......... you may need to set up the controls in an EXACT "order-of-events". If not....... final performance will suffer.
