First surf GOLD

I attended Toms informative seminar on beach detecting in largo Monday night. After listening to him it was clear to me that I had been doing my beach detecting all wrong

This afternoon I went to a new spot to hunt the surf. Not real big with the
swimmers, but lots of PWCs launch and play there. I walked from the beach
into the water in a nice neat up and back pattern. Most of the sand was very
soft. After about 20 minutes I hit the hard sand you had talked about. The
first hit was a set of keys, followed by some bottle caps and other debris.
Then came that nice smooth signal we all look for. It took me three attempts
with the scoop. Finally pulled up a 14K wedding band, wooo hooo, first surf
gold.

Thanks for the hunting tips.

Congrat's! Glad the seminar was helpful. I'm still 'trying' to commence a beach hunting DVD.

Tom
Have you commenced a beach hunting DVD yet?

I don't get to the beach but once a year, but it would be nice to get some pointers since I've already purchased your DVD.

I'm a bit short on time at the moment...... but somewhere interdispersed in previous threads...... is a fair amount of info.

My hunting buddy bought a White's M6 and got a very nice video with his machine. The video instructed you to swing to and from the beach with auto tracking. Now the F75 doesn't have auto tracking so I have no idea how you would accomplish this type of hunt on the beach.

F75 not designed for wet sand beach.
