When using the "bobbing methog" for GBing after you reduce the sens to quiet the threshold humm is it alright to leave the sens on that mark or do you bring it down still.

recommended setting is 4.5. There is little advantage to setting it higher than 5.

hi there...
if you go for the small 5"coil you can go with the sens adj. to MAX
the only thing to remember; ground bal. MORE than every now and then...
I have used the CZ with the small coil-set up from the time when the HOT little puck hit the market.....
happy hunting

After ground balancing..... you can hunt with THAT Sens setting...... or lower. If you increase the Sens setting above where you GB'd at....... you should re-GB your unit. It'll be close, but may require a additional (slight) adjustment.

Tom
I was always of the impression that there was nothing to gain by having your sen. high than 5. Am I mistaken.

That is correct. On average, all CZ's are at max when Sens is on approx 4.8. If you are in all-metal/autotune.... then '10' should be used; conditions allowing.

hi there .......
just a litle comment on the power adjustment on the CZ6.....
--doing a little inhouse testing on my 94 model i found the the sens curve to be
rather "flat" but the quality and power in the response signal was distinctly
better at 10 than at 4.8....no falsing
I used my sturdy 5"coil that dates from sept 2000...

Yes, boosting the Sens from 4.8 to 10 will increase the volume output.... making the audio sound more clear.
