Test with the e-trac v/s f75 on nickels

Went to a spot and hunted with the e-trac and got .32 clad, 10 wheat. Then went over it with the f75 and got .14 clad, 4 of the clad were nickels, 5 wheat, and 3 war time nickels. So put the nickels under the e-trac , No. were 12.11 to 12.15 a lot of pull tabs will fall in there. F75 no. on the nickels were 29 or 30 some pull tabs will fall there but not a lot, most are above or below.

Remember.... many shield nickels (first generation nickel) will ID as '28' (+-1) on the F75.

Tom you are right in my ground ( SE TX) the old nickels to the new ones will go from 28 to 31 ( some silver nickels or in 31).
Just part of the hobby..

Old nickles such a Buffalo,V, Shield or deep Jefferson in most cases will read lower on most detectors...Tom handled this well when he designed the CZ3D in advanced mode..
