Looks like a 30" wot, less the gorgeous orange color! One could almost detect the entire state of Rhode Island in just one sweep. LOL

Imagine trying to pinpoint with a garbage can lid??????
And you thought some units were heavy just imagine the weight of this baby.....

Hey . . . these are really being made !!! . . . this is no joke . . . the biggest is 50" and compared to others
they are very light weight and pricey . . . IMO.

I'm game . . . lets see what happens?

Chris - Hello from the U.S.

Can you make a stable coil for an ATPro . . . 15" to 20" if provided with the
proprietary garrett connector. And what would be your expected U.S. Coinage
Airtest results ?

Have you tried or tested such an idea yet ???

There seems to be a big worldwide demand for such a product and it is not being
fulfilled for the ATPro at this time.

Oh believe me . . .

I have already learned that "High Performance MD Coil Manufacturing" is no easy task.

I can fully appreciate the difficulty of this process and for just minimum/sometimes no
gain in performance at that . . . in a lot of cases.

To become Optimal for Depth and Stability there are most likely proprietary PCB hurdles
that really should take place too. Failure to do this usually ends up in failure to perform.

But I can still wish someone would take up the cause can't I ? . . . we deserve it.

I can't wait till they come out with the big coil.

I would absolutely laugh my a$$ off if I saw someone using that giant coil metal detecting in a park. I don't think I'd ever use something that large, but, to each their own winking smiley On a separate note, god only knows what people would think seeing a detectorist use this. I guess if someone called the coppers though, you could just lift the coil above your head & use it as a propeller & fly away like Mary Poppins...your own personal mini helicopter!

You never know . . . if you never ask so . . .

I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just winding wire and encasing it in a

waterproof case.

Thanks for your time and maybe you can convince Link Tech get moving

in the near future.

Best Regards

Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the note.

The short answer is no. I have talked with Link Technologies a couple of times re such coils, but at this point its not on the plans.

I don't actually wind the innards for the coils. It is not my skill or domain. We just case them in carbon to make them mountable and functional.

I wish I had more skill in the electronics field.

Regards

Chris

P.S. NJNYDIGGER - You're a mess man.

Chris, I was just being light, meant no harm whatsoever. My apology smiling smiley

what are they looking for cars, every time I used a large coil, I got more static, I like the smaller coils, it goes in and out of junk, last time I used my 12 inch coil on my 1500, I dug up an old copper sprinkler pipe, I was lucky it was disconnected

Caretaker . . . cars that's funny man.
I was after a particular coil last year and I asked the guy selling it . . . well how does it airtest using coins.
He said he wasn't sure but remembered he once detected a rusty hubcap with it at 2 ft ??? Is it me ???
