Thanks Ozzie.

This forum rocks and is awesome. My main aim is to enjoy the hobby by having the right tools.

Buying the right tools you need advice and nothing beats what experienced users on this forum offer. No BS just facts.

I have purchased a Garrett Sea Hunter Mark 2 for the water and A G2 in the last 2 weeks.

So now I own 2 CZ3D's tuned by Tom, Tesoro Compadre and the 2 machines mentioned here.

I may end up selling one CZ3D and the Compadre. Initially I was going to convert one cz3d for the water but changed my mind

and purchased the Sea Hunter instead. I have experience detecting the water with a PI having used a whites PI 1000 back in the day.

All machines are all for different purposes. I don't believe one machine can do it all.

Love the CZ. Its got the best discriminator where no loss of depth occurs when used.

Maybe when Autumn hits here in Australia I may consider buying an XP GMP for the Gold fields if the G2 is too erratic for our high mineralised iron & hot rock infested soils.

Next time I am up in Central Victoria I will take a photo with ironstone attached to a magnet which I will sweep the ground with.

I have a feeling that this machine will out perform the G2's competitor which I tested last year and sold after 3 hours in disgust on how difficult it was to setup and the claims
made by this machine being able to perform well in iron stone infested ground.

I am looking forward in testing the Fe3O4 Graphics indicator with hot rocks present in the ground on the G2.

In Aus our coinage is about 165 years old. I have never picked up an old coin deeper than 7". So if the G2 can find coins at about 8" then I will be happy with that.

The added bonus with this type of frequency is the ability to find small gold around parks or the Gold fields. I am not a fan detecting playgrounds and parks during the middle of the day though

due to some people having nothing better to do than attempt to start trouble. I had considered Keith's idea of buying a used T2 but would prefer the higher frequency on the G2.

This machine should be a blast on the dry sand as well. Will keep you posted.

Thanks for reading.

Joe
