A METAL detector enthusiast who stumbled across Britain's largest haul of Roman coins has revealed how he slept in a field for THREE nights to guard over the treasure.

And found with a "hobby-grade" metal detector!

(Is there any higher grade detector???!!!)

Well that's a nice haul, but even a radio shack detector would have rang out loud on that pile lol.
