Picked up a New F19

to test against the FA mode on the F75...

It Ieaves me wondering which is the best in iron...I think maybe the F19 might have an edge with the tone break plus 5khz higher....But the F75 in 1n is no slouch, but cant hear the iron toen since its muted...

the audio gate needs to stay open I have found for the best unmasking to occur on these digital units...


I have the BiAxial ,,5x10 and 5 DD for it and I have the same for the F75 so it should be fun...

Im hearing good things about the F19...The one I used on initial release suffered from problems....Like 7 inch on a nickle airtest with 5x10....

can anyone tell me what the newer ones airtest a nickle at with 5x10...

Hope this one is updated...I bought it new but you never Know...

what really worries me is how good is it next to the DEUS..Nothing is written in stone!

I am REALLY interested in hearing how this goes Keith. If I did not want camo I would have the F19 by now - came real close to pulling the trigger, then decided to wait for the new G2. Would be even better to hear that the F75 removes the need to even try.

Do me a big favor please and try your F75 out on a Bic pen and the F19 because my F75 refuses to give a non-ferrous beep on my pen test. Notka is killing it there, but my F75 is not upgraded either. [www.detectorprospector.com]

Im picking the F19 up Sunday...So Ill do both then...

Yes Im not a fan of the Camo...But I got the unit at such a price I said what the heck...Not sure what happened to the gold ones.. I saw a guy on you tube in vegas using one but that was it...I would rather have a gold one....Actually I would rather have a solid black...

I to am hoping good things for the G2...Im hearing its suposed to be Hotter..

I truly feel if I could have a G2 with ability to have some sort of BP mode on it or Power Boost when needed I would have a unit I could really take a liking to ...
What would be not to like simple effective light accurate deep ....all in one unit....

I can get a faint repeatable signal at 11" with the stock coil. That was inside the house.

Bill was that with a truck rim? kidding lol dime?

If you are picking up the tip of a pen at 11" you need to take the watch off.

You guys are funny. I was answering Keith's request to see how a nickel would air test with the stock coil.

There will be no BP on the new G2...buddy of mine emailed First Texas asking about the new G2... their reply is that it is just going to get the same features as the F19....as FT has stated before..BP is not doable on the G2 platform....also they said expect the new G2 unveiled in 2-6 months. PM me if you want to kn ow the individual at FT who stated this, as I will not post his name on the forum

My post was kind of vague now that I read it again. Hey but I knew what I meant......Lol

I'm sure it will do something to make it a better detector if it works?

The detector isn't bad either :-)

The guys with the XP's are giving my 7.0 release F75 Ltd some hard earned respect.
We need to get a day out detecting with the F19 thrown into the mix, I've got this weird feeling it will stand it's ground.

Can't wait to see what she'll do up against the fisher flagship (and any others Keith wants to pit her against)!

j.t. It is actually old news now. Teknetics announced an upcoming upgrade of the G2 back in March on their Facebook page. I assumed it would just be a F19 in Teknetics clothing and have no reason still to think otherwise. Like everything First Texas however after the March announcement - nothing. Now 2 - 6 more months? I am sure I will be well on to something else by then.

thanks steve! i guess i am similar to the "last man on the deal team,and the last one to know!"
ehe he! he!!..well anyway, i always liked the "tone break" on the g2,but you can run 2 tone in other competing
detectors,and accomplish similar results. maybe the new one has improved "punch" into the ground,and some other
'tricks" i ain't..goin' no where for 3 months,or so, so i'll wait for news!

I would be very interested in your comparisons against the F75 V2 and especially against Deus. I'm wondering what kind of depth it gets in highly mineralized soil with the different coils.

10 inches in all metal

I had a nice camo F19 on my watch list on eBay that NorthGeorgiaRelics had up for auction at a good starting price in like new condition from a trade in and that I was thinking about snatching up

Now Keith has a new camo F19 on its way

I reinstalled the 5x10DD coil (Teknetics) onto my G2 and then set up for an air test. I only did this to perhaps add a comparative perspective.
With this arrangement, my G2 will hit a nickel with repeatable signal at 12 inches.
Just a tad over 9 inches with a dime (clad).
(I was bored and wanted to see if I would gain anything by getting an F-19).

Exactly

everything is exactly the same except the backlight was added, the notching feature, and the adjustable Iron audio/volume

other than that - it's the exact same machine except painted camo, stock with 5x10" coil and I believe a slight difference in freq
