tesoro compadre coil comparison

Hello....I'm building a water machine out of a compadre...wondering if any of you have experienced the small coil vs 8 inch on jewlery...I know the 5 3/4 is good..But want to know if the 8" is as sensitive..I would like the 8" for coverage...Thanks

I would go with the 8" coil for more depth.

I played with the 8" coil unit for about 2 weeks and compared it to my 7" coil model which I will never sell.
Target separation and recovery time seems just about the same as mine, plus it is a little deeper.
I never did roll over any micro jewelry with it but I did find some very tiny bits of other metal and it picked them up fine and hit hard.
The disc knob is just slightly less sharp as mine, almost immeasurable but I could tell...still not a deal breaker because it is still great.
If I was doing this conversion I would use the 8" coil model.
