If I had to guess...based on the 'chatter marks' from a grinding wheel (visible on the lower part of the gold bar),
I'd say a robbery was part of its history.

One wonders what it would register on your unit...I would think an overload...Certainly speculative if it was stolen property but sure looks that way....one guesses the ony way it could be sold if melted down...
