Nice condition Keith.
Few years back I was lucky to take part in South Aftica on the trail of the Boer War

Del,
My mix-up. So many similar posts. I had thought you had just tested indoors.
Where are you in the RV park? I'm a tad jealous right now cos my brother is in Florida...

? Not yet?
Wait until he takes it out to the real world!!!
We'll see then if anything happens?
Probably nada cos the Tesoro's are so docile?
But, you never know?
Did I read you right Mike? You still using a Golden Sabre II...
I was living in Pittsburgh in 1986 and just loved my Golden Sabre, my very first 'notch' capability machine.
The hype was true... Claimed to inc

Interesting tests possum.
The Polish maker of Rutus told me: "Alter is very powerful machine, so don't be afraid of the depth of detection!" End quote.

"I'll tell you what Guvmore, if you cop a look at the 'lower end', the White's Bulls Eye might be what you're after?
Big long Tip to it that can be desensitised and has good Tip sensitivity! Just don't get it wet and it should serve you well?"

"I'm delighted for you James!
Also pleased that Garrett saw it right and hope now that any similar complaints will be sorted quickly thanks to you in a round about kind of way!
I've been with Garrett since 1979 and thus far can not fault their equipment nor their service.
They have a great reputation.
Psssstttttt.... Hello Garrett, anyone there? Desi here...I'm patiently

"Good stuff as per usual Monte.
For a poster to say "For Nokta to air test foreign coins is a waste of their time", doesn't really
comprehend the complexities of bringing a New model metal detector to market.
It HAS TO be done.
When that 'new model' is sold in 'foreign country X or Y', and it's reported back that it won't "detect&q

"Great stuff markg.
A real thinking-man's assessment.
Like you (and like many others too) I try to cover sites with several detectors over several years.
I wonder how the new Impact would do there...with their New small coil?"

As per manual quote:"Alter 71 has a built-in wireless digital transmitter which can work on one of two available radio frequencies.
The design of the digital connection was made especially for our detectors - therefore there is no lag or background noise.
The use of the accompanying wireless device is detailed in their respective user's manuals" end quote.

Still at the experimental stages so no long hunt yet!
It'll be Day 11 or 12 before I really figure it out?
My 'usual' routine is extensive use for 4 to 6 weeks!"

ghound,
The way I'm currently using it is by cross checking certain targets in certain Programs e.g. Coins, Basic, Fast, Ultra Fast etc.
Where it becomes "laborious" is, you GB after every Program change but you can override it by pulling the trigger thereby re-setting to a Factory Preset.
Then, you can press Menu and go to Audio and then manually change Tones into a few oth

Sven,
Why don't you Scotch tape 10 - 12 of your coins that you're most interested in onto a bit of bubble wrap and send it South to one of the US testers???

"Thumbing", isn't a waste of time!
It's the best way to run Tesoro' micro max models.
We look for more Low to Medium conductors in the UK compared to high conductive silver coins in the USA
So it helps a lot to 'thumb' and listen to when/where an audio signal begins 'to drop out/off/cease altogether.
I'm really wondering how the '.Mojave

That's 5 New detectors in the past few?
Tesoro Mojave

Rutus Alter 71

Just in from the Big 5: "We have decided to join together, to share brains and cash to develop stuff you haven't even dreamed of!"
So, I guess I'll wait for that then! Lol...

James,
I was a bit peeved at having to charge the components via my laptop.
I DO realise, every home must have three dozen chargers for everything but, I'd have really liked a charger.
So how are you managing to charge your devices?
Could that process be causing your issues?
I'm just being 'advocates' here!
Good to hear G are helping resolve the issue.
I have a

"I've been using a Z-Lynk set since January albeit a pre production system.
I've used it on several detectors and never had it shut off.
On a few detectors that I wasn't able to (a) use the provided black band and had to use an alternative rubber band (b) had to attach by other means e.g. Velcro, I was careful not to put a squeeze on any button. I also maintained 'line

Tom,
Thank you.
A fantastic posting.
It hugely reminds me of my early days with Minelab developing the very first Explorer.
The same kind of e- mails were sent by me every day for ten months.
So I can really appreciate the highs you experienced and your frustrations on the low's.
It's a thankless job in some ways from my own experience as some of the painstaking R & D ma

"I'm currently getting to grips with this model.
If you've chucked in the towel already then that's too bad.
It's a machine with a lot of adjustments, "Deus" like but not as complicated.
When making adjustments no matter how big or small, effects can be appreciated right there.
At times with Deus, you can't?
This one has one great advantage over Deus

Next supply 'late March'...
Why did I want one when I have several machines in the trunk of my car and languishing in my closet?
it's got 'je ne sais quoi' and I haven't read a single User report yet! It's gonna be a classic!

"I don't know? It is a NEW detector. We've been screaming for something new from Tes for a long time and they delivered.
I'd say it's got some new circuitry with advanced ground filtering AND that 7" CC coil c looks to be a cracker! I'd say it will be a HOT operator for the Europeans?
Maybe the 'Sonora' is next?"
