I detect old parks with an occasional old home hunt thrown in from time to time.
I have had all the coils mentioned above and more for the E-Trac.
The only coil that didn’t work good for me was the Coiltek 10x5.. Very underwhelming..
After using them all in different locations and conditions, I settled on the Generation 5 NEL Tornado which is my all time favorite, and to my
surprise a NEL

On paper the Equinox 800 is an easy pick.
I hunt old coins and gold nuggets.
Multi Frequency should work well for my park hunting and the single Frequencies of 20 and 40 should be good on gold.
I have sold almost all my detectors in anticipation of the Equinox.. Holding on to the E-trac until the EQ has proven itself
but will drop it in an instant if the Equinox can compete.. My tendons c

I would also put the 6x10 Mars Sniper on your list of coils to consider..
In my testing on a T2 it performed slightly better in depth and separation
compared to the NEL Sharpshooter which is also an excellent coil.
The Mars is lighter too.

The last thing I want to do is disagree with Tom D in public but a 12x13 Tornado coil
is no doubt deeper on a dime then the stock 11" coil on the E-Trac in my location..
I can't speak for other Detectors in other locations because I haven't really tested them like I have the E-Trac..
I'm kind of obsessed with depth and have been through most coils made for the E-Trac.

I just put up a nice NEL 12x13 Tornado for sale today that will work on your Omega..
The NEL Tornado is my favorite aftermarket big Coil.
One stays on my E-Trac for probably 90% hunting..

Besides how well written it is, I would like to hear what you think about the Equinox technology with the information we have so far.
Are you intrigued by this detector in any way Tom??

Location is a factor for detector choice, especially if you are detecting salt water but what you are hunting for is
probably more important for your decision.

NASA Tom quote
"Engineers........(from different Mfr's)............ that are all converging on the same (artificial intelligence) point; albeit...from different/tangential angles-of-approach; yet, once again....... to converge on the same end-resultant. . . . . . . and............. all with VERY close/similar time-continuum space. "
Is Minelab's Multi-IQ part of this?

Dang! Nice find.
Looks like there might be some VF details hidden under that tarnish..
Might be worth sending that one in to PCGS for restoration..

Good points Keith..
Just the coil alone trying to work with all those frequencies seems like it might be a limiting factor.
Way over my head so I couldn't say.
Either way there's no doubt the F19 is a great detector..

Very tempting!
Pre Equinox announcement I would have been jumping on one of these at this price.
Hard to get excited about single frequency detectors anymore..
The F19 is a great detector. I'm wondering if the Equinox will compete with it set at 20 kHz..
Will be interesting see if the jack of all trades can be a master of any.

I did some testing awhile back with a T2, Mars Sniper, Nel SharpShooter, and the Teknetics 10x5.
The Mars Sniper was lighter, deeper and separated better on the nail board test the the others.
There was not a lot of difference between the Mars and Nel but both were noticeably better then the Teknetics coil.
Can't find my notes otherwise I would give you the numbers.
