If it's not the increasing Shipping cost, it's the Ebay Fee's, then the The Pay Pal fee's..... #1 thing to reduce shipping cost is keeping the size of The box as small as possible. Just a couple of extra box inch's can add $12 bucks.

#1 use a smaller Coil like the 5x10 is a real good one
#2 use the all Metal mode is a must, (for Micro jewelry ) runs good & stable, once you get familiar with it.
#3 dig everything above Iron, Also you might want to investigate some 14 15 16 VDI's as I found a Gold / diamond stud ear ring on a tot lot doing so.
# 4 stay far away from The wet salt sand, dry sand only.

My TDI Pro had very Good Battery life with The stock battery & Charger... Also it held a Charge between Beach Trips real good....... Also The TDI Pro with The Stock coil was very Very deep on My salt water Beach,
The deepest detector I ever used .....I can'i imagine it with a Bigger coil .......

I used the Safari for dry sand & wet sand salt water Beach Hunting for 2 seasons, Deep, light weight, swing it all day, Good Target ID, especially on deep targets, easy to use, Runs very Stable, immune to EMI, ID Numbers lock on (no Jumpy ID's)

I to have had EMI Issue's lately, with some of my detectores, Just sold one because of the constant Ghost Signals... It was driving me Nuts.
I made a mistake and sold my T2 Classic last month, believe it or not, The T2 ran very smooth For me.
The T2 and The Nel Sharpshooter Coil would be a jewelry Vacuum very fast & swing friendly machine

Sad to see Jimmy go, He was a inspiration in this Hobby. But not a Real Big surprise, I would go to the local Dealers for my Whites Detector purchase and they all wanted the ridiculous Full Retail Price.
I asked for them to match The East Coast Internet price, and they said NO, and Shut the door on me.
It does not take a Intelligent person to figure out that this type of Business practices
