I've been told that the sens/disc adjustments on the T2 have a dramatic impact on depth and stability. It was also stated that a disc of 21 was a good all around setting. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Hey Brian
Might want to bring your CZ (just in case) if your hunting downtown Sacto. Lots of power lines and interference. Ron has been pounding them parks in Sacto for years with his EX.

Hi Brian
Me and you had a talk about this problem and that's always been my worst nightmare! Getting to a spot and having a problem like that. I've never been one to keep a backup in my car to unit that I'm hunting with. It just doesn't make sense. This is the reason that I sold my coinstrike and my first F75. The trusty 3D may not be as fast as the 75 but it will work at p

Hi Dan
Glad to hear your using a CZ3D. It's am awesome machine! The 3D works great at heavily hunted areas and has found me many a keeper at several so called hunted out sites. I found another morgan dollar (1891-s) tonight with the CZ3D. This is the 2nd morgan dollar I've found this month with the 3D. I have one of the early 1021 units and it works perfect. Take care and congrats on

Hi BJ
My detecting buddy hunts with a XLT-e (with an 8 inch coil). I hunt with the 3D and can almost touch coils with no crosstalk between the units at all.

Hi Everyone
Had the chance to hit a demo the last few nights and had my trusty 3D with me to clean some house. I "Aways" run the 3D at iron disc so I know what I'm digging. After using the 3D for awhile you will know the sound of a coin and the sound of a nail (or iron trash). Best advice is to just hover over the target and examine it from different angles and when in doubt dig

Hi Gary
I have a CZ3D and watched Toms DVD. Its a very interesting DVD as everytime he got a signal my brain would say Yes I would dig that signal or no I wouldn't. It was like I was right there digging the signals myself! The 3D is a great coin shooter and I find a oldie everytime I take it out. Set your disc to accept iron and sens at 4.5 and go slow and listen for the whispers. Don

I Agree! The F75 is unbeatable in iron and seperation of targets. It also has great depth but in a city park the 75 becomes a average detector. Almost everytime I took it to a big city park the trip turned into a nightmare as the machine just went crazy with the EMI interference. Now with the 3D at a city park EMI is not a problem. Put a FZ12 on your 3D and run your sens at 4.5 and disc at iron a

Hi Tom
I have a 1021 CZ3D and it with out a doubt is the deepest old coin finding unit I own. I also sold my F-75 as the 3D is a much better coin shooter in the interfence laden inner city parks that I hunt. Whats cool about my 3D is that it will hit a small transit token at 10 inches and report it as a good target. When the 3D is correctly tuned there is no better old park deep coin hunter ma

and I found it to be very informative. Your test garden was very well thought out and the way you kept the dirt matrix around the coin intact made it much more "Real World" than an ordinary test garden. Your real hunt was pretty cool too and most of the signals you dug and passed on I would have done the same. Something just clicks when I hear a good signal and I'm sure it's t

Hi Tom
I picked up a very nice used one. I had a 6a and a 70 a while back but ended up trading both of them. With the 8 inch coil I can get coins at the 8 to 9 inch level with a good repeatable signal witch is something the 70 and the 6a just couldn't quite do. I really like the 3D and it works great in older parks. I just have no complaints about it and when used in the right areas it wo

Hi Tom - 16 years ago
Just puchased your video and I'm looking forward to watching it. I owned a F-75 but found the EMI just to much in the areas (city parks with power lines everywhere) that I hunt. Sometimes I would just grin and bear it but after a while I just couldn't deal with anymore. I also had the same problem with the C$. I made some great finds with the 75 and the C$ and there both excellent machi

Thanks Scott and Chris I think you answered my question. I like the FZ on the beach with my CZ hipmounted and just like you said Chris it pinpointed and just generally seemed to work better than a 10.5.

Hi Tom
I was wondering if you have tested the FZ-12 coil on a CZ? If so what were your impressions on it for deep coin hunting an inland park?
Thanks Ray
