Here's a link on Wish dot Com to a Fisher Gold Bug Pro with both a 5" & 1 1" coil for less than $300 including shipping. The description uses the same verbiage as the Fisher advertisements; like GroundGrab, Ground Balances all the way to Salt. It looks like the real thing.

I believe the simplest change would be to show which frequency is predominant (hitting hardest) on the target to aid in target identification. Bottle caps will hit harder at 20 kHz than at 5 kHz.

The ground balance subtracts out the ground minerals and adjusts the phase values. It is not frequency dependent it is coil dependent.

Every time I read the Fisher Intelligence Reports by Tom I gleen something new and useful. Same goes for the two videos.
Thanks Tom

Tom, If you know someone with the small white elliptical concentric for the F75 / F70 try it on the Omega. I used it on a Gamma I had and it worked great in the trashy areas. TID was spot on, depth measurement was off a little; but it also was on my F75. Detecting depth was less than the 5" DD but discrimination was better and EMI was less.

I recently sent my F75SE to Fisher to be checked out. There were 3 sites I had been to where the detector would just stop detecting and just have pops and crackles from EMI. Each site had 115kV powerlines nearby (within 200 yards). The Fisher Tech couldn't duplicate the problem on a field test in El Paso but they replaced the coil connector and added some EMI shielding and sent it back with

Ray - I found the grill at Sorensdale Rec Center in Hayward. Its right next to Tenneyson High. The students walk thru the park on their way home. Most likely it was lost during a fight.

I don't have a gold test kit to determine if it is real gold. It came out of the ground shiny with just some mud in the casting impression. The weight is just over 3 grams. I did a Google search and dental gold is usually 60% to 75% pure and is allowed with differnet metals to make if harder than 14K or 18K jewelry grade gold.
If is is 14K purity than the value at the current gold price i

My son, a Corpsman in the US Navy in Portsmouth, VA took leave and flew home on May 3. My wife and I picked him up at the airport and we went out to lunch. Afterwards we went home and grabbed the detectors for a quick hunt at a local park.
I was using my MXT Pro and was digging every non-ferrous target which had a consistent target ID number. After having dug numerous modern coins, pull tabs,

I have an MXT Pro. It came with the 300 12" V-rated coil. I picked up a new 6 x10 Eclipse DD because the 12" was useless to me for coin hunting in suburban turf. The 6 x 10 was okay, really heavy for its size and not very deep. I bought a 10 x 12 SEF and it separated better than the 6 x 10 and was as deep as the 12" coil. I then bought a 6 x 8 SEF. It was lighter, deeper and bette

Sounds like you got one in your bonnet. The folks on the forum are giving you sage advice. Seems to me you're spending more time writin' bout it than doin' it.
All the best and don't go to Craig's List too soon.

I've got the 5" DD, 11" DD and the 10" elliptical conentric for my F75 SE/LTD. Each of these has it uses. I'm looking to round out the factory coils and get a 6.5" Elliptical Search Coilfor the F75.
If anyone has one they would like to sell for a good price please PM me. I will pay with PayPal and pay the 3% charge.

I have the 10" concentric on my F75 SE/LTD and find it does discriminate bettter on bottle caps using the edge detection technique. It is also better in the all metal motion and static modes than the 11"DD. Although I like the 5" DD better for the all metal modes and the coverage is similar. The depth is similar.
The 10" is only slightly less affected by EMI vs. th

I couldn't sleep well last night so I got up and started reading some Internet forums.
I came across a post by Dave J. It sorta made my day; especially the first paragraph

Your YouTube video on the 6X8 SEF DD Coil vs the White's 6X10 Eclipse DD coil was enough to make me buy one for my MXT Pro. I was so impressed with it compared to the 6X10 Eclipse that I also bought a 10X12 SEF DD Coil and it is more impressive than any of the White's coils for the MXT. Target separation is astounding for a 12" coil and is on par with the 11" Bi-Axia

I've found on using my F75SE and MXT with the DD coils if you put the edge of the heel or toe of the coil to the target you will ge negative VDI numbers. Sweep over the target than they will jump to high numbers. Best check with the the AM mode.

In the link I posted above Carl Moreland shared a little more detail on the AM modes. It's an interesting response on how the newer detection circuits use the same information but VDI and Tones require a stronger signal than a typical AM response. It's way over my head technically but it is fun to learn.

I asked a question about motion and non-motion AM modes and circuits on the Whites forum and received a reply from Carl Moreland as follows:

I'm going to try and find out how the F75 SE does in AM mode when I get back. FedEx should have my new one waiting for me.
