Guys with George Payne help I have constructed a hybrid digital/analog micro mark 1. It uses the original large circuit board but was designed as small as one could possibly make it. It has a 4 digit LCD to ho along with the meter to assist in target identification.New 6 cell lithium battery pack, and much lighter. Without Georges help this would have never been possible. Should have pics and a vi

I would assume most of you dont use the Mark 1 anymore. But I can say for sure that the analog target id of the Mark 1 will give the user a world of information from just a slight movement of the needle. Differentiating between clad and silver is no problem with the Mark 1 meter and telling the difference between an indian head and copper or zinc penny is indicated with an ever so slight reading

Do you know where on craigslist the Baron was for sale? Yes the Baron is a sleeper unit for sure. It is drastically different than most detectors and thats one of the reasons I think people dont use them as much. For some they are hard to learn and they sale them after only a short period of time. However they do handle bad ground with ease and thats a plus. Thanks for the replies and have a good

I see that many of you have used Tek Se's and Fishers and they do have some great depth. Just curious if you guys have ever used a Discovery Electronics Treasure Baron, which was designed by George Payne. They may surprise you on how much depth they get and they also can use a deep hunter module for extra depth in mineralized soil. Just curious what you guys think about the Treasure Baron. T

I dont know if you fellows have ever used a George Payne designed Treasure Baron but if not I would suggest giving one a try. As deep as the Teknetics and Fishers are one would be surprised at how deep the Barons go. And they also have a deep hunter module that can be installed and used in highly mineralized ground for extra depth.

For financial reason I have to sell my T2. It is in great shape and a version 6.0.. All of the functions on the machine work as they should. It also comes with a nice Minelab finds pouch and 2 diggers, a gator digger and a short strong digger for hard ground or gravel.. Also a very nice set of Grey Ghost headphones will go with it too. Asking 500 dollars shipped to the lower 48. Paypal please. I

i have been mainly hunting with disc at 21 for iron and in the last week or so have decreased the disc and increased the sensitivity and wow. today i hunted at a site i got permission to hunt recently and many years ago there were two homes that stood there. i managed to pull a 1944 wheat penny from a measured 11 inches. i feel that this site may have been graded over years ago as i dont think a

I had read that the software was the only difference between the standard T2 and the T2 LTD and that the circuit board and the components are exactly the same and placed the same on the circuit board. If this is correct let me ask this. Would it not be possible to hook up to the circuit board on the standard T2 and erase the software, hook up to the T2 LTD board and copy the software and then in

If there is one thing for sure is that the silver coins we dig up now are definitely worth the dig. I would have never imagined that a silver quarter would be worth almost 8 dollars, but then again the dollar isnt worth a dime so there ya go. Like one poster said maybe we should just keep our silver and hope for the best. Its a shame our country has fallen as far as it has. If it werent for greed

Just curious if any of you use the bottlecap mode on the T2 on a regular basis and what are your thoughts on this particular mode?? and what mode of audio tones do you guys use regularly and why? i have begun to use the bottlecap mode to doublecheck iffy targets as of late and it seems to be quite accurate as it will cause the vdi numbers to vary greatly on junk targets and good targets will be f

I would like to try the Deus at the 4khz setting for silver. If it has good depth at 4khz it should really hit the silver hard. Having 4 selectable frequencies to choose from would a delight for many different hunting scenarios. I guess only time will tell and hopefully they will live up to the expectations that the Europeans say they have. Happy hunting all..

Hi guys,
Of all the places ive been Toms forum here seems to have some of the most and better technical information on metal detectors. I know I may have asked or posted this before but I havent gotten any further with any information than when I started. I am looking for information on a modification called Boostification for the standard T2. This mod was designed by a company in

I am looking to possibly get a cz-3d and noticed you guys saying the serial numbers 1021 and below are better models. Why is this? Is the cz-3d really that good for coin hunting as a lot of people here say? And what modifications are done by Nasa Tom? I have read of a lot of Fisher machines being sent to him to be modified or calibrated and folks saying that they do much better after this. Any in

Hi,
I was reading on Garys Uk website of the boostification audio mod for the t2. This mod is said to clean up and enhance the sudio for the t2. I was curious if anyone here has heard of this mod? I tried to contact Pentechnics in the Uk with an email about this mod as Garys website said that they are the ones who did this, but have gotten no replies. Also are there any other modifications
