So I take it the scoop met your needs and is preforming well or have you tried it yet. I have seen that one and like it, but the price. But good tools cost money.

I'm really beginning to form a love/hate relationship with iron because of you guys. It's good there are still good readings in the ground because of it. But now that I know what I'm missing because of iron it's really frustrating. Ignorance is bliss.
From past post and experience I am assuming the smaller coil is the best for these high iron sites except for loss of depth

I have Tice's reference but I dont see a backmark it's from a site that dates back to 1649 but I found an 1887 indian near the button.
Another guy who specializes in these sites in Virginia said possibly late 1700 to early 1800 civilian.

Very timely article for me Tom. I'm hitting a very iron rich site dating back to the 1600's tommorow and I will definitely test it out. We've found some nice confederate relics in this site in the past but you cannot swing in the relic rich areas without multiple iron readings. Original Virginia Tobacco plantation and apparently a confederate calvary Militia hangout near the Rappah

"Unless you have some inside knowledge of illegals in their employ, speculation about First Texas breaking the law is irresponsible."
Not sure where I implied anything of the sort. There are these things called forged and false papers and ID's available everywhere. What would FT do if the papers appear legit? 30 million illegals in the US if you had not heard.

Not trying to start anything. Just an observation. I was at the FT facility last year about this time, and wonder how many workers are actually legit US citizens? (Pollution also bad when I was there. Big cloud of smog over the city as I came over the hills on the highway and overlooked El Paso.)
El Paso is overrun by criminals. It's always been a town of outlaws and crime. I understand t

From what I'm hearing, have it professionally graded and certified, then try to market it to someone you know. They'll get a good deal and you'll both be ahead in the transaction. Need to be careful which females see your finds! ......................
This may also be a good topic for a future essay on Toms forum. "How to market and get the most $ from your finds."

I'm too old and sick to worry about much. I just have my fun each day, and get surprised when I wake up again. Way above my pay grade to worry about much else. I assure you I won't be taken alive......
Now lets dig some good finds...

Anyone know of the possibilities Fisher will put a Fish Finder styled LCD screen, designed to give an electronic pic of target, identifying variation in a color format, on the F75 LTD/SE upgrade?
As I've heard using different tools produces more finds, I think the ""Screen"" would really bust the new tech. wide open and aid us in defeating the rust.
Any thoughts? Is

I'm getting a little older and enjoy using the small coil in hunted out and new sites with rust. It's easy to swing for long periods and gets good depth for many areas. I can get more swing time per trip which also helps the find ratio per trip. But I've done great with both coils. Main thing is finding sites I can get permission to hunt which amazingly since folks think their hunt

I was checking out a rock I suspected was from space after reading this info and links. I think it is ((H Chondrite)). The one on link was from NW Africa which would make some sense to it being here in central VA as this was once part of NW Africa.
And here's an ad I had not seen previously for the F75 and Gold Bug (( I found mine last Dec with the LTD))
Good stuff

"I got to figure out how to quite it down in super trashy areas for my ears sake. Drop the SEN should help. "
try the small coil. Helps with iron separation and masking but still gets really good depth. You also will be able to run higher sens and boost, least amount of disc possible and dig those iffy readings other machines have missed. Get everything you can with the small coil

Thanks Tom I'd missed the "cross" info this summer as I have been away from the Net most of it.
Jesus is always there to help us if we just let him, huh? Easy to wear also.
Not exactly why I made the post, but it's great info as always. I was seeing if any new machines had made your list, etc. Thx

40 years detecting experience in central VA relic country and it's the best machine I've ever used for relics and gold. First Texas on the other hand has not been the best customer service oriented as of Feb 2010 IMO. That includes a personal visit to El Paso headquarters, which was very much a disappointment. That hopefully has changed as the F75 LTD is too good a product to be pulled
