Hi Joe.
Have you tried any of the GPXs and would you compare GP3500.
I'm looking at GP3500 now. It's still a bit pricey, $1900 Canadian dollars, but all the GPXs are over five or six thousand!
Think yellow; dream big.
Thanks

Thanks for the clarification Rod. Yes very well said, and I get it!
Now onto another term. I suspect "unmasking" is similar in meaning to discrimination. So the 75 doesn't discriminate as well as G2, but it's fast. Hmm, I thought speed was an aspect of discrimination; the faster the wave recovers from surrounding junk, the more time is available to pickup the product withi

Wow, great thread.
Just one question, what does detecting behind another detector involve? Example, your reference that the G2 cant hunt behind the F75. I'm just tying to picture the scenario and procedure, or lack thereof.
Thanks.

Tom.
What's involved in "validation", availability, time, and cost estimates; are factory units not consistent in Fisher quality control department; and can machines be sent to you or your cohorts to be validated?
The jury is still out; the more I research, the more my lack of real-world experience is handicapping my decision making, but I might opt for the F75 for now. I have a

With this, I think prospectors and treasure hunters alike can identify with something we share in common.

Hello Jim.
The more I peruse this forum the more aware I become of my ignorance regarding detecting. I had not idea.
Unfortunately this defines my inability to understand much that is shared by members like yourself and Tom. However, one thing is clear, this is the right place to start.
Since our resident guru Tom, bowed to you regarding my quest, please accept my gratitude in advance for an

Thanks Tom, despite the lack of perspective in this particular "real-world", your opinion is yet another special nugget. With this, I'm now prospecting for "Humble Pie".

Hello.
As a new comer to detecting and to your forum, I would like to thank you and all members for the inspiring environment and the wealth of information you share'
That is quite a selection of machines and situations, and I feel a bit naive about the depth of knowledge it represents. Placer mining with equipment is my living, and I'm intending to use a detector for outlining pay
