(nteresting machine. Do you know if the current software option is complete ?? or are there changes in the making yet to be offered ?? Deus 2 is out of my reach $$$$ But I liked the Rutus Alter 71 and this one has perked my interest once again.

I didn't really care much for the SE pro incarnation though. On that one, Minelab tried to speed up the processing, in order to help with junky areas. Which had the side effect of making the deeper beeps harder to hone in on (as the machine attempts to fade them out too quickly to get a good ID on them). So IMHO, the SE pro lost depth, when compared to the II . Many others concur

No I don't have any silver buried. I should though.
A couple of things did stand out though.
If you are an instant hunt by numbers person, you won't like either machine.
Slow number ID is kind of frustrating coming from other machines.
But, I have and do hunt with a GMP and it is tone only, which led to my next observation.
If you hunt by tone and only stop and wait for numbers if

I have just recently purchased both a Explorer SE Pro and a Like new Safari.
I spent the full day with these machines in order to pick one of them and sell the other.
I put a Sunray x8 on the SE Pro and put a new Detech 4.5 x 7 on the Safari for no particular reason.
Set both machines to all metal and noise canceled every time I made any changes.
Ran them both through my test garden and vari

A lot of really good points and info here. All points and opinions are being taken seriously and logged in my mind.
I really appreciate every statement and piece of info that you have all given me. This hobby can get a little expensive and to me is really a HOOT !! I have gone through quite a few machines looking for a couple of them that plain feels right and speaks to me. I found myself wantin

There is NO MACHINE that is the end of it all or all that and a box of Cracker Jacks. I have never tried the BBS or FBS machines. I, in my mind need a little nudge to just jump in with out knowing how deep the water is. The biggest drawback I see so far with older machines like the Explorer is there is no way to repair them. So with Minelab you have to step up to newer more expensive machines to

Guys and yall,
I really want to try out this Explorer XS and have to buy it to try it.
My question is ;
What does this earlier FBS detector do that no other modern machine can match ???
I have already tried both the Nox 600 and 800 and they just plain didn't blow my skirt up !!
I have owned and tried quite a few tectors and gotten rid of most of them because they just plainly didn'

I went outside and did this test with two big nails (rusty) and a freshly buried 4 inch dirty dime in my central San Joaquin (CA) Valley dirt using my Impact with 4 x 7 football coil @ 14 KHz, The Apex in MF and my current XP GMP and got a little better results. The GMP simply slammed it even though it doesn't like freshly disturbed soil. The Impact sounded strong and sure and the Apex chirp

I haven't read anything about the Impact. Was there something unexceptionable about the machine ?? Did it not have enough options or maybe not dropped from the sky ???
Any way, What Happened ????????
Any Thoughts ????

Absolutely LOVES pull tabs of every shape and form in all Freqs. Light weight, easy to travel with and overall is a dumbed down Deus, If you get past the pull tab issue and like the Deus style and type detector you might just really like it.

I purchased the 7 inch DD for my impact and it was/is a fairly decent coil, also used one on an F75 and again, decent coil. EXCEPT !!!!!
The coil ears can and are britle. I have had both coils break off the mounting ears and I had to JB Weld material on the outside and rebuild the ears to continue using them

I have looked longingly at the TARSACCI many times. Just can't get that much cash together at one time and don't get out enough to look harder for the cash. Very interesting machine for sure. I picked up this Goldmaxx V4 AGAIN after selling my last one to get money for another machine I ended up selling two weeks later. DOOAAHH !!!

The machine is an XP Goldmaxx Power and had a Coke switch added to return it back to no Disc.
Since I have never knowingly run into Coke I am not sure how yet to take advantage of the added switch here in Central California.
A ( 2-3) on a readout machine sounds like either iron or that deadly wrap-around.
I saw that video that Des Dunne made with the Vista X and it sounded kind of like a

Getting a machine with added Coke switch. How does coke react and can it be used for another purpose ??
Just simply not familiar with coke cause it isn't around this area of Central California.
Any info appreciated

I also don't DO ANY SOCIAL MEDIA
I love my Nokta machines and have NEVER had any problems with fast customer service.
I think a lot of people with very expensive machines resent the possibility of a young company releasing a 300.00 machine that puts serious competition towards that high dollar machine.
Some of those same people I also believe just want to rant and enjoy talking S**t about

I am still learning THAT tone. Rusty flat crown caps are my enemy. The Orx that I started playing with seems to love them also. The Musky fools me on those crown caps. The old flat rusty ones. Each time, I go ahead and dig them, always dreaming of lost pirate treasure. Ha,Ha.!!
This unit will disk out small brass even. Not that I want to, just a statement of its character.
It takes a lot of di

the detectors out TODAY !! can not do ? Or Do as Well ???
I have been comparing the Impact, Anfibio 14, Rutus Alter 71 and newly acquired XP Orx to my Musketeer Advantage and trying to see for myself IF the Musky has a hidden talent than can't be beat or completely reproduced.
I have tried to sell this Musky several times and each time at the last minute, I put it back where it was.

That's promising info and good to hear. I haven't taken it out in the field yet. Picked it up with the 9.5 elliptical coil and this is my first XP wireless. I stupidly let go of my XP Goldmaxx a few months ago and regretted that move sooooo much. I had just got that try something different bug. I would just hold onto it a couple more weeks and see if you still feel the same way after th

If you don't mind, What exactly is it that decided you to send it on its way ???
There are lots of reasons for lots of people. I have just received an ORX and am trying to find its niche with my other detectors.
Need more time to tell where it fits

After reading your comments I will ask this
Who would or might be a good dealer to try to get a DEAL on a XP Deus with remote and the older 9 inch LF coil combo ??
A lot of pretty high prices and almost no offering of the Low Freq 9 inch coil.
Also, can the remote be purchased later if the lite package were purchased ???
I have no real use or need for the X35 HF coil

I don't have a problem with battery in the stem.
I have a problem with battery in the COIL !!
I did not know the battery was inside the X35 coil
I THOUGHT it was Vise-Versa
The battery inside the coil is the reason I have never bought the Deus
Makes their coils crazy expensive and no way to repair it yourself
I don't see me having the cash to buy a new coil because battery life i

How many of you actually use the ORX and have formed an opinion about it ???
I followed the add and did find where it is sold for $649.00 ( XP ORX Wireless Metal Detector + FX-02 Headphones + 9" X35 search coil ))
I would like to try this detector out.
I keep getting cold feet because of that battery application.
Someone somewhere I read, said the battery is in the stem and not inside

Pine,
the Aluminum arm cuff with mount does not work on the Advantage. It is a square mount.
You can get the Advantage style mount from ( )
This is Robs detector sales out of Arizona. Under $10.00

Was looking at purchasing one of these coils for the Musketeer.
Have ANY of you had any experience with either the 5 inch Nel Point or that wonderful little Nel Snake which I love on my other machines ???
Any actual experience with either combo please
Specifically with the ML Musketeer is what I really want to hear about
