This Open Forum is now DISABLE to new posts due to the "Phorum" Forum Software used for this forum being generally obsolete and basically no longer supported. Word is the GTI 2500 will be retired on May 6th.
I hope that they take the imaging feature to a new level with this upcoming detector.

There is a detector that can see aluminum as iron. It's the DRS Ground Exper Pro.
However it's discrimination is best used to find silver and gold that is larger
that a ring size object in order to eliminate from pull tab to the aluminum can
objects.

Great post and good question.
Currently I own a DRS Ground Exper Pro.
You are right there is something about this company
that is worth a second look. The jacket scanner
in not in my possession...yet. When it is and I experiment
with it I'll post some of the results here.
Or not if the jacket works that great
