Wanted to post a update on my machine, it's still avaliable but doesn't have software update as far as I know. I would trade for a VX3 since I need something I can use. I'm 6'3, and can't use the alter.

I'm 6'3 so I have a even harder time whites machines with standard rods work for me. Tall man's are even better. Minelab are all too short. Except a sovereign or a excal on a straight. Which I have 2 excals that work.

Wanted to apologize for not being active in this thread as a alter 71 owner my computer died and I just got a new one. I'm loving my alter 71 it's a all around great machine and the hodo is really accurate. I like it more than AKA's hodo. I also tend to prefer the 11' coil over the 9' concentric because the 11 is a DD so I get better readings in my soil. I have to say th

Got mine in today, and am super impressed with the machine. Going to test it tommorrow. I really like the covers being included and the coils feel very sturdy and seem like they should last a very long time. I really like the ability to change frequency it can help me with interference from other machines as most run on 14 or 15 khz at least the at pro and the mxt series does.
Thus I'm g

Yeah I'm not opposed to it although heh fat chance getting guvner on findmall to do that which is the main forum I follow I just find that this forum has more information on the obscure machines. And well people are a lot less salty lol.

That's probably years away. But I did get to check out a GM5+ that a buddy had and it's only maybe 0.5 inches deeper it's nothing special the changes don't really warrant extra $60 in cost.

Sounds good, will keep it in mind, ha. Hopefully the machine lasts me a good long time and finds me a lot of targets. I have to say my first polish detector I've owned Bulgarian machines matter of fact my main is a golden mask 5 paid $370 USD on major Holiday sale.

If I had the skills believe me I would like to be involved with developing a detector and in the past I'd like to think I've had some influence with deeptech I've had some good conversations with them about machines and what I personally think would be needed in a machine for the US market.
