I must be doing to much detecting and not enough reading. I searched here on the site but didn't see anything on the subject.
This guy shot a video showing the equinox while in the multi frequency mode, unable to pick up a silver coin on edge. It would pick it up if the coin was laying flat and it would pick it up while in a single frequency mode.
Has anyone else seen the video. Was

This is really very very interesting
Great detective work! Keep it up, hopefully it can be narrowed down and end with as accurate a conclusion as possible, if not the actual conclusion. Which isn't always possible.
If the detective work becomes too time consuming and you need a hand with the research, or anything else, let me know in what direction and I'd be happy to assist.

I picked mine up at Myers in Tampa.
Have had it a little over a month
Best find thus far was a diamond earing at the beach.
(Which appraised at almost twice what I paid for the detector)
I only paid $649 plus tax for my Equinox 800. And no errors on ring up or anything like that. I had a manufactures coupon from minelab for $250.
It was a no brainier...

But my dealer is having a hard time getting them,
