Well I've never seen anything unmask like the CoRe does believe me. I'll invite anybody to come hunt with us, and the places we hunt render the Deus useless. The FT machine don't fair very well either. They find stuff but at 15 kHz this CoRe, if it is that, is smoking others. I'm inclined to believe maybe they have coil making down that others companies can only dream of. What

That is absolutely wonderful! I actually had a very hard time yesterday and today operating the rocker switches on my CoRe in the cold cold weather we are having here. Actually thought I had broke my on off switch but it was just tough operating it in the cold through the plastic cover. Excellent company that we have only dreamed of...............

I exclusively hunt freshwater lakes. Mmm, sounds like the CTX might not be my best choice then. I've seen some people that have slayed the good stuff with the Deus in freshwater making posts but not many use it.

Talked with a dealer about trading the Deus with main controller, WS4 and WS5 headphones for a CTX for water hunting. Used the Excal II for several years and the GT on dry sand. Found a lot of great stuff with them. The Deus should be an excellent machine in the water with the waterproof kit they sell. Wonder if it will be better than the CTX? Just wondering about some opinions on which would be

I finally got the button in the right light where I could read it. It says Scovills double gilted with stars in between the inscription and stars around the shank.

Just imagine how much good stuff, really good stuff we would find if all detectors were say a compadre that would go 12 inches and we virtually dug it all if we had the stamina.

I would say it really depends... The ETrac, a good year. Compadre as soon as you turn it on. It really depends on what kind of ground you have to hunt on. If you are in trash, who knows.

The lot that has shown me what the CoRe can do. 1904 IH came from a house that they just tore down in the next lot. One of my "dimes" turned out to be a button of some type. Says Scoville Gilted then something else I can't read. This machine loves dimes too. Looks like a watch gear also in the mix. Oh yea I ran across another sidewalk to the same lot on the opposite side of the one

Well that didn't turn out like I wanted it too. Standing water from all the rain we just got through with. Maybe when it dries up some.

Heck Keith has detectors coming and going like a bordello in a gold mine town has customers. Sweet find there young man, and on edge too, go figure. Using DI2 or DI3? CoRe is going to be a tough machine to beat once it is accepted here. Love mine..........

I'm off tomorrow and have a place that dates back to 1901. Hunted it last week for about an hour. Not going to say what or where yet. Ran the small coil on the CoRe in it and dug just a few 70's clad coins. The most used area is slap loaded with beavertail tabs, the viewing area let's call it. The more remote places on this area are almost null and void of targets, for the small co

Daniel and Keith you two are not the norm as far as dirt goes. Down here 100 miles below Keith in Ga we have the richest red clay you have ever seen and then the next lot over loamy black dirt. That red clay like ya'll have is just plain ugly for this hobby. However we take it as it comes and we are given. The good thing about red clay is stuff will not sink very much in it. Erosion is more

Keith I really wasn't gonna say anything about the depth because of naysayers. I didn't measure my air tested Findings but it was way out there for a lack of better words. Kinda defies our normal thought processes on how a coil should detect. I'm getting over what looked like ten inches with the small coil at 70, in the house with a memorial penny. :-) I do know this, I'm find

Today I was chasing what we call sounding off on the tip of nails. Iffy signals, however understand when you would flip the plug over you would throw it on top of another matrix of Co/Fe targets still in the ground. I just mash the plug to try and spread out the dirt and metals to hit again what gave me the good signal. Kinda like you do on the beach with your foot. Gents you cannot believe how m

An old house lot that has been torn down for a while. Today I hunted the imaginary now, sidewalk entrance off the street. All that's there is the two corner markers left today. An area not bigger than a small truck. I've hunted there several times when I first got the CoRe from Keith. However I was hunting in DI2. DI3 is what I prefer now. Now the factor that tickles me to death. We hav

I think GM is just grumpy like most of us, maybe more. Happy New Year! I'm off tomorrow and will be putting the CoRe to work again. I'll report back from my perspective you can bet.

Why not just have detecting clothes and get ya butt dirty. Detector, pinpointer, headphones, and digger. Drop right down and get dirty if you have too. Lol

Rusty bottle caps do what they should, sound like iron, crackle/break up, aluminum screw on caps if they are less than a couple of inches make the machine overload. Just lift the coil slightly and it will sound like a good target then but will be a jumpy TID most of the time. If it is mashed flat you just might dig it provided it's over a couple of inches. Just my findings. My rusty bottle c
