well this is and has been a learning experience for sure, i know in my ground when i use the relic i can hit coins easy to the 10" range but thats brown loamy mixed clayish type soil and this went for the rg 1000 as well and used the gold as a small item or target hunter for the most part hoping to hit trime or something of that small of a coin on some of my relic hunts

there you go my friend you will here the differences also put a coin next to a pull tab (aluminum) you should here a split second spit then a bright tone and after the sweep another subtle little spit, now the coin will be just as smooth as the a clear day is long

I have had some hot vaquero's in the past and still one of my favorite machines along with a fisher 1270 and 6 years ago i had a tejon it was ok but i had a hard time learnning at the time and sold it but loves brass i was finding old lamp mantle brass at 12 to 13" and old horse shoes, but i'm pretty well committed to my deep techs

it sounds crazy Keith but the relic sound or tone rather i can pick out good targets easy but yes head phones are nessary witht these machines and i never wore them until i got my rg 1000 and i can't hunt with out phones now it makes me wonder how much i've missed over the years since not wearing them?
