My guess is if you had a DFX and sold it after a week you would sell the V3i in a couple days.....Lol The V3i is ok but the Etrac would be more or a turn on and go type in my opinion. I was always wondering if I had everything adjusted right with the V3i.

I have the V3i and the Etrac. If I had to choose one it would be the Etrac for sure. The V3i has a lot of nice features and can be customized many different ways but in my area the Etrac works better for me. Using the single frequency I can get the V3i setup to go deeper than the Etrac but the TID is not as stable and tends to jump around a lot more. I do not like the way I can not setup the V3i

Dan I had one of the 1121 CZ3D's that would probably go that deep. I cant remember if I ever measured it. I got rid of it to try something else. I know I dug some real deep civil war bullets with it. If you can handle the weight of the 10.5 coil it will add some depth too. The CZ I have now that Tom tuned is real deep too. He certified it at 11.5 inches.

I opened the DVD that came with the Smart and there was your video entitled Deep Tech Vista GOLD and RG 1000 mineral test. I thought it was pretty cool. I was just wondering if you knew it.....;o)

I got the Vista Smart today but only had a chance to go out for a short time. I only dug maybe 4 targets. I was looking for faint signals. I was in a public park and just ignored all the surface stuff. Two of the holes I gave up on. After 12 inches and no sign of a signal on my pinpointer I quit....Lol. The other two signals were deep pull tabs. One was just the small beaver tail but it was at 8

Kevin. I use a program called Videopad to edit my videos. It was like Keith said you can take all the clips and drop them on the timeline of the video editor and then combine them. You do not have to make each clip a seperate video. I use a 640x360 format and that makes the widescreen. I have all my videos where people can comment but I have to approve of all the comments first. Every once in a

Thanks for taking the time to do these. I left a comment on your video, have you tried the ctx in two tone ferrous. Seems like on my etrac I can get some good targets even with iron in the same hole sometimes.

That was cool. Thanks. Makes me wonder who much stuff I walk over every time I go detecting. I have found many bullets and coins right on the edge of detection with the Etrac. I know there are a lot I can't even hear.....;o(

I had one with the new tones. The notch feature worked good but overall the detector did not work for me because the one I had would call the small can slaw as a high tone coin. In the local parks and places I hunt there is usually no shortage of this type of targets so it would not be good to dig many holes chasing can slaw that ring up as coins in public parks. Depth was not very good either.

Keep us posted on how you like it and how it performs. I am especiall curious on how it will do on coins in the AM mode. Will it ID at depth, etc.

Kevin its funny you mention the right knee. I dont wear knee pads so I have started putting a patch on the right knee of my pants so I dont wear them out so fast. I bought a pair of double knee pants and also put a pacth on them too so they will last a little longer. By the way I mailed your package today priority mail.

That would be outstanding.......I just sent a detector (through USPS) one state away and sent it priority mail and it took 7 days to get there........If they can get one from Bulgaria in a week and a half I would be shocked......

Dan. It was one of the newer Goldens with the new tones. I bought it brand new. And yes on every other detector I have the small can slaw come in at foil or nickel at best. On the golden they came in as high tone. I just assumed that was normal operation for them. I guess I should have checked before I got rid of it.......;o(

Not trying to trash the golden in any way but the one I had would hit on small can slaw with a high tone like a coin. I would get a good tone that I thought would be a coin for sure and then dig up a piece of a can that had been shredded with a mower. This happened time after time. I could see this happening with maybe larger pieces of can but these were smaller pieces like the size of a quarter
