Get a piece of theatrical lighting gel in whatever color and density suits your likes and cut it to fit inside the the rain cover. No messing with the machine and it's stable and removable.

I thought that the settings for optimum unmasking were disc 6 and mono-tone. I understand that a disc of 4 or less kicks in extra depth, but does it change the F75's ability to see past iron?

I would think that it's just the ticket for turf hunting, since the grass already creates an air gap. I'm hoping the boost mode might gain back the depth you lose from the coil sitting on top of 1-3 inches of matted grass.

Until you learn your machine, you shouldn't pay much attention to those one-way signals. When you find a good, repeatable signal, turn your coil 90 degrees. If it disappears, it's likely junk. Also, when you fast grab you need to make sure the ground is clear of metal. You might want to try sens 80, disc 6, 2F tones and DE mode. Do a factory reset to make sure you haven't changed t

The F75 with the T2 for back up. I have all four coils for the F75 which, I feel, covers all the situations I hunt in. Though I will be breaking out the T2 and a magnet this weekend to hunt a square nail blanketed site.
