the way I see it Nokta-Makro started this ball rolling with their
very competitive range of products at reasonable prices -
the true effect of how well they have done in bringing prices down
will be easy to see a few months down the track once their SimplEX is
readily available -
One thing is for sure - Turkey it appears, do not have to run off anywhere
to get their products manufac

makes you wonder how Garrett - Whites - Teknetics - Fisher etc are going to compete
I could be wrong but it appears to me prices for top quality & great preforming units
have dropped due to these continual releases from both Nokta-Makro & Minelab
Any idea when the old fulla's are due to wake up?

I just got this email from someone who obviously has an issue with both
Nokta-Makro and now myself - First off, yes I love Nokta-Makro, as I do
Minelab, Garrett, Teknetics, Fisher etc - In fact my main unit is a Minelab
and I was looking at purchasing a Simplex for a backup/loaner -
Now because I questioned someone who has an obvious hate on for NM in
a thread, I am now a target of an

Great work from both Minelab & Nokta-Makro in keeping the US manufacturers out of the game_
Simplex or Vanquish? - at those prices you can have both or hadn't you all noticed?

Hi Daniel_what did NM do to Minelab @ Detectival?
I think Quest & C-Scope have similar designs also to the Nox??
Do you remember when NM released the Racer?_It was also wafted about that
they copied the T2_must not have

Well done Nokta-Makro
truly, at the price and for what you get - THANK YOU
This will compliment my Nox brilliantly and how thoughtful of you to keep
the icons similar for a few of us old timers_
The Simplex will be a top selling unit for sure and at that price, haters might
even purchase one

Thank you Des D - I understand exactly what you mean now regarding 'wrist control' & 'tough in brush' - cheers
Cheers ghound - I think you will find that the Racer was discontinued due to it being superseded by NEW regular releases
however that Racer is still better than some of the current US flagships being sold today_
Yes, XP - Minelab - Quest - C-Scope - Nokta-

Finally Des, that will explain your dislike for the Go-Finds then_never did get an answer from
you as to why you regard the Go-Finds as a white elephant/flop
As for the SimplEX, I have not seen anyone else complain about the position of the control housing
however
Did you see the rundown of the features and specifications on the SimplEX and its performance in the
test beds? Or were

ask Whites -
they would be in a better position to ask that question to
I suppose however to safeguard yourself from leaky waterproof units, simply don't
design and manufacture them and it appears this is the option some of the older
manufacturers have chosen -
one question that should be asked and discussed is, how is it possible for Turkey to
manufacture high quality technic

thank you marcomo_
yes I do know about the 'counterfeit' issues THAT is why I wanted clarification regarding the Nox600 counterfeits
as for the dodgy website, I really do not care about however the fact that the mention of counterfeit Equinox 600's
possibly hitting the market could be detrimental to Minelab themselves, hence the clarification on whether the website

Hey marcomo
So were they "counterfeits"?
Or was it yet another dodgy seller?
I know well enough of Chinese manufacturing and counterfeit claims, but thanks for sharing your views
I never mentioned or implied "slander" - I was simply highlighting your over eager imagination in reference to
these non existent counterfeit Equinox 600's that you eluded to_

all these umms and ahhs, over this is just too much_
you could bet your house on the fact that if this was coming out of the US at twice
the price, you all would be scrambling over each other to place your ore-orders
as it clearly defines in their catch phrase "you only to need your own IO to know"
and that right there just might be why some are struggling with what you get in

In response to your thread title - "Counterfeit Equinox 600?"
I would put this down to an over eager imagination to draw the
same conclusion as you looking at that website marcomo
A seller selling under MAP - nothing new as I have seen this before
As for the website - yeah could be a risk, but how you then reach
the conclusion that they must be counterfeit Nox 600's is a

and the comeback from Garrett - Fisher - Whites is ???
to those that keep calling this fantastic marketing as "hype" - I personally I think
no matter what you end up swinging, you will still end up moaning - These are
proud manufacturers 'marketing' their products professionally - NO hype -
something dearly missed in the US with their rare releases

hang on a minute - are you saying someone purchased a Nox600 and it turned out to be a Chinese fake?
or is this purely speculation in regards to a dodgy seller selling under MAP?
two completely different scenario's imo
