That is not an easy question at all. If you ask about ergonomics DEUS II is better but in heavy iron, I will choose Mantiocre... is a little bit better for me and performs better. The difference between both machines is minimal. Few percents, but it depends on how you want to use them and where.

That is a very interesting topic. Why? True differences depend from the site, operator, and at least from the device, and the difference between them is shallow - top shelf metal detectors 20% maximum between.

Thank you I will check it, but that setup is amazing... I can analyze and decide what to dig or not to dig. 2D was made only for target checking and works perfectly.

Ok, I can compare DEUS II to Manticore in deep iron. Minelab is a pure winner. After 2 years in the same place on my footprints and covered holes I can find more and more low conductors. But it can change with new update from XP... but now...
The site is open again... an amazing feeling anyway.

Ok fast report. Mantiocre program Low conductors and recovery 6. Iron limit 6 and lower 3. Audio Enhanced. Modulation Simple. One tone.
An old site full of iron. You can't calibrate the machine... no clear patch. All time also halo effect. Place hunted to dead by last few years. Size two soccer fields. Flat pasture.
After one hour I understand everything and I can find more masked coin

I have that strange feeling like with Equinox... software is not ready yet isn't it? Like with other brands... customers beta testing hell

Here the same - iron falsing on the old site. After one hour is not easy to determine whether I pass a good target or only a high tone of the iron spike.

You have another movie, not Calabash where you get iron falsing also... Dealy if sound can describe it could be iron - for me is not acceptable. The machine is not suppressed right, you get too much feedback information.

The main issue could be the good ground balancing in the place full of iron. I'm using tracking to get the average value of GB and then switch it off...
It always works for me. The same I was get with Tarsacci... bad GB not possible to work with it at all. right GB and MDT is dead silent...

The question is how a 2D graph is accurate... and how it works. I was watch some movies and higher conductors are also not easy to define - no sweet round shape. Especially near iron... it could be an only marketing advantage. Not really a feature. Like with sound. You need to dig to check it. And I understand it... but it does not help at all. It only shows what you hear, so you don't get m

I'm working with DEUS II and Tarsacci MDT in the same spot - for the last five months. MDT is deeper (little coin from 50 cm from the iron) but target locking and ID are better for XP.
You also don't dig too much foil and hot rocks and are quiet in iron.
For me second metal detector is for difficult places to finish it. For recon DEUS II is ok.

Ok Tom you have right. The last 5 months are on the same spot each week and I can compare Relic, DeepHC to the Fast program... The site is an old medieval place and plenty of old iron defragment particles and dust and old forged iron nails. In between some coins. I have an app and I can check my GPS traces and finds points. With FAST I found some more unmasked finds from my footprints... amazing!

That is the point! For old medieval places is one and only way to open them again. I'm testing (the last five months) Tarsacci, Deus II, and The Legend. MDT wins.
