Just watch and see how many on the bandwagon keep other VLF detectors, as well as the Equinox.
If they made VLF's obsolete there's no reason to own both.
Equinox owners would only own non-VLF machines in their "arsenals".
Unless they simply enjoy detecting, and find other machines a pleasure to use. Then it's OK

Electroscopes are indeed nonsense.....
but DOWSING RODS, are the real deal!!!
They work off of some undefinable, indescribable, unmeasurable type of "energy".
Humans simply no longer have the "mystic knowledge" required to understand or explain exactly how they work. It was lost long ago.
Just make sure you have enough "training" to become "in-tun

This wasn't specifically referencing Equinox comparisons, rather head to head tests in general. Certainly not meant to be yet another Equinox thread, as I have no interest in it at this time.
I had been looking at some tests done in the past for the Impact (my machine) while reading the VERY detailed Impact testing notes Tom had posted.
Going back and forth between the tests and Tom

Anyone see metaldetectors.com has the Nokta Invenio listed? Kellyco too.
Can't wait to see the specs.

I agree.
I love reading others experiences and opinions here, when they're presented with measurable data in re-creatable scenarios.

Having been hit by yet another snow storm, I re-read some of Tom's articles.
With all the hardware tests going on, it seems like a good time to resurrect one of the great ones.
Before you test, or put great faith in tests done by others, read and digest...

More likely because most users still don't have theirs that they ordered 5 months ago.

Lowered price because of their own Kruzer product line.

It doesn't appear to be "exceptional" in it's performance from what little I've seen so far. Certainly does seem like a fine piece of tech though.
I'll keep watching as more user info comes out and more detailed reports from Tom, Keith, SteveH, etc... appear.
I'm patiently waiting to see the specs of the next Nokta and First Texas machines.
It would b

Nothing to add except that THESE are the types of threads that make this site great.
Guys like me that are passionate, but have only detected for 4-5 years, love the knowledge sharing and discussion of the more seasoned detectorists.

I had the Racer 2, and I now own and love the Impact.
I don't really need the waterproof aspect, although it would be nice, so I can't see giving up the extra features and modes of the Impact for a Kruzer.
For some reason, however, it feels as though the next Nokta device (Storm?) will offer something truly unique. Maybe even something completely new to the market, and perhaps th

Don't blame Minelab that everyone allowed themselves to be whipped up into a frenzy.
Now they're acting like a bunch of young girls waiting for the Beatles to come out on stage.
We're all grownups and have to own our own feelings and emotions.

Didn't Nokta provide additional capability in their Di4 mode with their last update?
Regardless, I can see more than just bug fixes being performed.
Most modern electronic devices can have their software upgraded to allow new feature sets and additional settings.
Why would detectors be any different?
This is the direction electronics have been moving for a while. Detector manufact

In some detectorist's opinions, no detector could ever justify $2000.
In others minds, $1000 could never justified.
Personally I think some of the prospecting machines that have ruggedized hardware can draw higher price tags.
