I enjoy chasing iffy signals as well. Dug an Indian, shield nic, and 3 v nics in a 10'x10' area where a mule drawn carousel was located. My cousin came over after I dug the first nickel to help me hunt this area and said all he could hear is nails. I begged him to help me, I had dug plenty of nails too. Lol

Was testing MXT in relic mode with 10x5 sef coil with gain maxed and ground locked. It was breaking threshold on 12" coins. Might have to get 10x12 sef coil. Also tried Impact on gen(d) also breaking threshold but had stock coil. No telling what you would dig by hunting like that but it's going to be deep for sure. Thanks

I can see where conductive mode on CTX would help on deeper targets. It really cleans up the hits on deeper coins in my test garden(no clipping). The combined setting that I have always used is clipped with an iron grunt on edges. I can't wait to try conductive in the field.

Awesome video Keith. That safari looks fun. After watching that video I want one. CTX has been a good one but coil selection is BS in my opinion.

Just wanted to say thanks for all who contribute, and help others with this great hobby. I started in June of 2015,and have been enjoying this forum for most of that time. After buying a used Impact from a forum member earlier this year I figured it's time to join this forum. Thanks again.
