In my sandy soil the F75 loves to call deep non ferrous ..... Ferrous... My friends T2 did the same thing....Where both the Deus and Equinox will call it non ferrous..
I agree the F75 is a comfortable detector to swing..
Some of my best finds came from hunted out sites...from the few targets that they missed.
4 years ago I bought a Deus and I was land detecting 2 or3 times a week back t

I guess me and all the multitudes of people who ha bought the Equinox and LEARNED it are all being being fooled by Minelab...
Hyped machine LOL You guys keep thinking that and swinging your F75 , AT PRO and the Ole Explorer...
I find this thread amusing ...I guess the Minelab engineers are sitting around trying to figure out how to get over on people... Wait a minute that is Fisher and Ga

Here is something that would be obvious if it were true...
Even with the problems of the prototype there would be hints and glimmers of the performance discrimination enhancements...
That performance is Nonexistent ...
Steve said in his post discrimination is minimal at (best)..
Talked to another fellow about his and he will be selling it..chasing iron was his word on it...

Thats a good question and the answer is not much at 2 or 2.5...IMO the gain of a longer tone on non ferrous outweighs the loss...
As for the tones I like the 5 tone option a little better than the two tone for the simple fact I get excited BEFORE I dig a hole and its in the silver bin...In other words 2 tones bores me and a multiple tone set up keeps me entertained.
If you are gonna run i

I get the gist of what your talking about. I have hunted some 19030s sites that are loaded with tin and its tuff. The tricks will help and also the QUALITY of the tones. Not fool proof by no means but will help. Those are tough conditions..I agree hunting straight iron sites are a breeze compared to ones polluted with more modern junk.

Lower you audio response to 3...
That guy you are talking about in the video made this for me...He is a very good with the Deus...
I agree 1930s sites are harder to dig but as I see it you only have two choices...Explorer or learn it .. actually 3...buy another Equinox.
Lower your audio response to 3...very important detail for the 1930s sites.

Someone contacted my buddy and said bounty hunter was using my image on a promotional v to promote their machine... Anyone else seen that? If that is true it is IRONIC.

About $14,000.00 worth of finds. Next on my list the all elusive gold coin. Thanks everyone! I was sitting here the other morning just thinking and thought I need to put those two finds together in a video.

1 .The Devil is in the details...You dont understand the audio of the Deus Tom.YET. Put your audio response on 3 this will help as it will add more nuance to the audio. Size shape etc...you have it set to high for what your trying to do.
2 You are worried about the wrong thing...LEARN TO WALK before you try to run...Your all of a sudden worried about what your not digging and leaving behind.

It does change the way it behaves for sure...a higher reactivity does better in hotter ground from my experience and from what others have told me who hunt that type of soil .
I would think the sink rate is different in the ghost towns than it is here my soft sandy soil...
I would think the majority of targets are shallow out there...where here on some sites the average is 9 inches or so..

This was said in the listing...
(but the discrimination is limited at best)
HMMM interesting...that statement about sums it up...
Where is the ole guy who was pushing this this thing... I figured he would be over telling us how it does have excellent discrimination capabilities by now...
