I was at DIV XXII in November, I had the Gold Bug and it worked well, ground ballanced well too. Around 8-9" depth on the deepest targets I got, so the G2 should work great. I know a guy I rode with was using the standard F-75 in all metal and did well also. I will be heading that way again in March and I will be taking the T-2SE and the Deep Tech 1000v2 and giving it a go.......Mark

Reminds me of my Gold Bug v29, only faster and no meter to watch. Thought I would never find another detector to beat the GB, but with only 2 hunts in with the 1000, I may take the battery out of the GB and let it hang for awhile. I'm gonna take the 1000 to DIV in March and tackle the hot ground in Virginia with it......Mark

Got out yesterday down south in Arkansas to a couple of home sites and a small camp. Still having some trouble getting the tone break where I would like it. I also find that if I dig a blended tone, it is usualy a good target. Most of the bullets were at around 8" deep. Can't wait to replace the coil with the 8x11 and get rid of some falsing...........Mark

Anyways I'm gonna order the 8x11 coil and lower rod for my 1000v2 I think it will be a vast improvement over the round 11 inch.........Mark

I usualy hunt anytime the ground is not frozen hard. Dress warm and I can stand it to the Mid 30's. We have had fairly mild winters here for awhile. I can go 60-70 miles south to Arkansas to a buds and the temp is sometimes 10 degrees warmer!!!!

Well went to my fav iron patch today and the 1000 worked like a champ!! It really reminds me of a Nautilus in some ways, but more on the lines of the GBSE without a meter. I dug alot of holes just to get the feel of it. I found that a low/high blended signals were small lead or brass and that the seperation is RAZOR sharp, even with the 11" coil. Not much brass but alot of lead. This spot h
