Makro racer 2 nail board test with the 11x7" dd coil

Tested the Makro racer 2 with the nail board test. Outside temperature was +1 degrees celsius and the machine worked fine, no coil overload signals detected during the test and i even upped the gain to 99.

Makro racer 2 nail board test with the small 5" dd coil. The small 5" dd coil passed the test with flying colours and the coil should work great in the more trashier sites to find good targets between all the trash targets.

If you hold the coil several inches above the nail board is the result the same?

I think the coil was about 2 inches above the nails in the test. I dont think there will be any major difference, if the coil is raised any higher than that, but will test it out to make sure. Next in line is to try the small coil's performance in this test.

The new machine seems to be much better balanced now(more floaty feeling) and not coil heavy with the stock coil. The much stiffer handle cushion is good too.

Added the small 5" coil test to the first post i made.

Etsija82, could you be so kind and measure the weight of the (new, round) 5" coil please (together with wire)? I would like to know if there is a difference (compared to the older one). Thank you.

They should put that test in the dirt and see what it does I would think everything changes in the dirt? Maybe three inches deep and do the test again..

Old small coil with coil cover:
319 grams

New small coil with coil cover:
390 grams.

Thank you so much. Surprising result. I expected the new coil to be lighter (or at least equal)...
