You guys do realize that this is the Chinese spammer from Shanghai, who embeds a link to his Chinese detector website in every post...right?
The same one plaguing all the detector forums with similar user names, and stories?

Right On MRH,

...I tried to tell that about the Deteknix Quest Pro and got jeered for it, maybe the Deteknix is a better flavor of crap made in China.

Keith, yeah...that's what I was saying. Every one of his posts has a hyperlink to his website.

Check it out...Even his first post on the forum (where he copied and pasted Ozzie's earlier response in the thread) has an embedded hyperlink to his Chinese website.
Spammer...plain and simple.

Except now they're getting more clever about how they post.

I have been looking for the 'antenna' for the last hour. Got to make sure it is pointed in the right direction. Where IS that eye popping smiley antenna!

Its on my ants head. Source issues aside, its such great advice! Only use your detector indoors or better, it will last forever if you just keep it in an environmentally controlled vault and never take it out. Forget that! I USE my detectors and if they go South (not a hidden Keith reference) I fix or replace.

Search-coils are two antennae in a box. Taken from the Teknetics T2 manual:

This radio transmitter 8188A-GB has been approved by Industry Canada to operate with
the antenna types listed below with the maximum permissible gain and required
antenna impedance for each antenna type indicated. Antenna types not included in this
list, having a gain greater than the maximum gain indicated for that type, are strictly
prohibited for use with this device.
Antennas:
1. 5” DD Coil, Part Number 5COIL-TEK
2. 11” DD Coil, Part Number 11COIL-TEK
Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an
antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry
Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its
gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not
more than that necessary for successful communication.
