Well here is my response.

White's again do themselves no justice here.

Ever heard the following,,,Who is looking out for you???

This is what a company does for its current customers and future customers..

A better thing here,, sure do the video,, get one of those tapes a seamstress uses,, lay it on a board so folks can see measurements,,, space out some items like coins etc,, with different conductivity.

Then run the updated unit over the targets,,,,then run the NON updated unit over the same scenario.

Show folks what this improvement really does with the update.

Then again run the updated unit.

Only good ole horse sense here folks--I think...

And this test should have been done originally with the buggered units,,,Anyone in their right mind a testing a detector-- heck even a user would.

I know I have with all my units...

I think the video was having some fun and showing the recovery speed of the detector.

Some people will find the negative in everything.....

Oh,, now after looking here at your link Cadman,, I see where you are coming from.

But after seeing this on the White's forum--- this looks more like one of the other dumb videos they did,,,,, maybe life with White's is just a big joke.

But I can say here,, and I think I'm right on this one,,..,spending $700-$800 on a metal detector is not a joke for most folks,,,,they expect to get a good detector for what they paid.

Maybe they should stick to the DR units they joked about--- hard to screw those up,..or can they???

They need to quit operating out of a "Culture of Deception".---- plain and simple.

Man I'm a hard core hunter that digs all day for relics, if that is how they are going to lull me into considering to buy that detector then forget it! Are they doing that badly where they have to find cute ways to get some of us to consider their product...Now if the video is for the wide range of tones lets mix some dirt and iron into the signal and see how it sounds...

Agree cladnan, this is an updated MX Sport in the video.

See great things coming down from White's in the future, the new team may be young but they are determined to make an impact with future models.

I think the sleeping giant has awaken.....

If that's the case then they better grab some of those young marketing minds as well because their product launches are about as lack luster as their latest unit appears to be - its already being spoken of as the 'beast' but how well does it actually perform against whats on the market today? - Aside from it being waterproof, how fast is the target response & seperation, depth, ergonomics, software etc?

I have nothing against White's. I still don't like the sound of that detector.

America better get going so far nothing released has made me want to buy one and its been about four years now..

I thought those tones were actually quite smooth sounding. A few broke up a bit consistently (2 I think).
Do you guys find those tones informational like on some other machines?
I know the machine has gotten a lot of flack from people, so I hope Whites sorts it out.
