Fishet CZs and rechargables?

I was wondering any out there use rechargable 9 volts in your Cz's? I was wondering in particular the NIMHs as I have some extra I bought for the Nauty. I never used them in a CZ before. Thanks.

I mean Fisher as my Finger's too fat for a smart phone. LOL!

I tried Lion 9V's several years ago and they were a fail for me. Would get about four hours max, the battery meter would indicate a full charge, but when the battery ran out, that was it, it would just shut off.

I suspect they have better rechargable 9V's out by now, as this was probably around 2010.

For some reason never had any luck with rechargeable 9 volts on any unit...Yes I tried them on CZ's same result....Of course there are different brands and some member may chime in with ones that worked well......Alkalines serve me well......
PS: seems like the pinpoint draws a lot of juice in CZ's for your info...

I should've noted that when I tried the Lion 9V batteries it was on my CZ70.

Harold,

The CZ seems to like a higher voltage...(I know, everyone says the voltage regulator shouldn't make that true)...but that's what I see.
And the normal low voltage NiMH rechargables seemed a little less than optimal for it.

I also tried the LiON rechargables, but like Cal observed, they give no warning when they need re-charged...just PFFFT, and your detector is dead.

I've heard several people talking about the new higher voltage NiMH (9.6V) rechargeable batteries, and claiming good things.
(I'm going to try some out here soon...sounds like it might be the ticket.)

Meanwhile, I switched back to the non-rechargable energizer lithiums.
I found a reasonably good price for them, and they weigh a lot less than alkaline...won't ever leak either.
(Still too much money, and I hate throwing things away.)

When I had my CZ5, using the pinpoint mode really zapped the batteries fast.

Then you gotta' rid of it because it was a "nail grabber". LOL!

Yupper, it lit up them deep square nails till you pinpointed in all metal and centered the sweet spot over the nail and it would give you an iron buzz. Wouldn't work for me in the old places i hunt at.

9 volt batteries,,,don't have enough meat to them to hold any power,,,I mean compare 2 AAs put up beside 9 volt.

Used in a CZ (from a post over at Finds on the Fisher CZ forum)...
The 9.6V batteries are perfect....hold a high charge for quite some time.

I usually hunt for about 15 hours before recharging and there is still plenty of juice left in them.

They do come off the charger with 10+ volts but no problems for the detector.

The Maha charger does 4 x 9V batteries at once which is a bonus.
