Dealers still selling the MXS

It appears that Some dealers did not get the Memo about ( Out of Stock ) and still intend to sell the MXS Even thought they know that it is faulty, It is very hard to trust people when the deck is stacked. No doubt there are dozens more,

How do you know Whites just isn't out of stock? I never seen them post they stopped selling them because of problems.

John,

7 and 8. Screen stuff. Did you notice the MXS is listed out of stock on our site? -- tboykin


I guess this means that they are not selling them because they have none with proper screen material and never have.

My Local dealer told me and he as also had troubles because they sent him 3 and had to send them back because he was promised updated ones and they weren't so he then had to pay at his cost to cover the freight in order to get updated models and then they had to go back, When he told me his language was quite colourful, But he told me that they are listed out of stock until they (mechanical) problems is resolved, there are a few problems and they all involve the Screen,

White's dealers just got their first official email from whites this afternoon with an update. MXS production has been stopped until issues are resolved.

I updated my website this afternoon. Others will eventually.

The last date of production was the 175th day of 2016 (SN beginning 6175). June 23rd, I believe.
Unfortunately, that did not keep earlier production units from being shipped out from Whites after that date.

As I understand it, production will resume when White's believes they have addressed all known issues to their best ability.

? Like a recall? I'm not aware of a recall. I sold my stock at a loss weeks ago and was already not selling anymore until things get resolved.

Unless it is a safety issue, I don't believe they have to issue a recall. I am aware of ----" As the consumer, you are the person responsible for noticing if there is a problem or fault with something you have bought, and you must act quickly to tell the seller that you have found this problem. While I feel White's has been pushing the limits ( of the above ) by their " send 'er in " position I am curious to see if they are going to be responsible members of the detecting community and this forum on this matter.

This detector is still listed as " in stock " at various places. I think these are going to be dumped on the market to those that are not aware of the problems. If anyone notices the problems White's will have to fix ( which they say they are unable to do ) or refund if under warranty. People are unaware of the problems and I see people talking about purchasing one.
