your not missing anything by not having a relic hawk...

I had one...the advantage is just as good coil for coil.and runs smoother in the dirt...

I honestly think the original metal box musky was copied from and enhanced for the relic hawk,..then the relic hawk wasn't selling so they just stuck the updated version into the plastic Sovereign boxes...Seriously the only thing different was a small large and medium setting on the Hawk which was a retune speed..and it only ran right on medium.. and medium is identical to the Advantage..even has same sound and performance as a XS or advantage...

unless you want a conversation piece the Muskies are just as good for 90 percent of the usage..especially with the bigger coils to challenge the depth of the big coil hawk..

I wouldn't be surprised if you knew which resistor to change out on the Musky you could change the retune speed for Small Medium and Large..LOL...I'm sure its in there...

HMM have to go look??

Damn it Keith! Now look what you did.
You mention "silver killer" in a post and I go on eBay late at night with a couple of beers in me
and pay too much for a Musketeer Advantage.
Now where do I get one of these fancy straight shafts for it?

It will be good to hear how it pans out Keith.

I know this 14x10 has become my go to Coil because of the extra power and it will carve up the ground on bigger targets too.

good luck.

John..
Thanks for the straight shaft info. Keith.
I'm looking forward to your 13" Ultimate review.
I thought about trying out the 15" Nel Attack on mine.
My Musky comes with both the 800 and 1000 coils.

Bryan
I nervous/apprehensive to try the Ultimate on the Musky in away..

what's funny the 8 inch coil was as deep as the 10 inch...just lesser scan area..

thats one thing about the Muskys ..a 7.25 inch coil will dissect and also go blazingly deep...deeper than most machine made today with a 10 inch coil...

I'll be taking the risk with you Keith.
I couldn't find a Nel Attack to fit the Musky so I picked up an Ultimate off FeeBay also.
I could use a bigger coil for the area that I want to try the Musketeer at.
Hope it can handle the ground. CTX recommends single digit sensitivity in some parts of that park
We will see!
