We are simply trying to evaluate if the machine is worth the effort and time to "become one with".
Each for our own "guesstimated" hunting conditions.

So true.

I would wait until we get reports from regular folks who actually paid money for their Impact. Those opinions are more realistic and honest.

I strongly believe and feel we have some good honest testers and most have far more knowledge about the Impact and detecting in general then do the majority of "regular folks." Nothing wrong with waiting, either for a bit. HH jim tn

More than Tom D. and Keith S. reports and opinions??!?!!?!?

You are delusional, completely off your rocker, and have no credibility if you mean that. Wow. confused smiley lol

The testers including me were told to be honest and truthful and say what was on our minds good or bad. I think we were picked because we all bring something to the table that is different. I did one test for fisher and they would not allow me to be as honest as I wanted to be so maybe some companies are that way or have employees do the testing. But not so on the Impact...As i have said before if you have a deus and understand adding the impact will make a complete set of tools for detecting..

I'm not singling out any one person. However, l maintain that the true tests are the ones made by consumers, not testers. Stuff like side by side comparisons and depth tests are what interests me.

Tom D. Is awesome. However, as far as I know, all of his tests were in Florida's non mineralized ground.

Here we go again. Some people have trust issues and will never be convinced. The testers of the Impact are long time forum members who have earned their trust.

Detectorist, you have been here for 5 years and know these guys.

As far as geography in the U.S. ---- Tom D. Florida, inert soil.....Keith S. Georgia, mineralized soil....Lawrenzo, Cali gold soil...MRH, Michigan dirt.

Please add your self if I missed you....I'm sure I missed a few.

Three corners of the U.S. with highly experienced guys we have known for years showing us extensive reports and videos........what more do you want?

I already stated what I want. Folks who purchase the Impact with their hard earned money to tell us about it. Folks who are unconstrained by the factory rules to do side by side testing, as we all like to do. Folks who already have top of the line detectors like the Deus who can tell us the advantages and downsides of the new Impact. That's it. I just don't do hero worship very well. I know one tester never met a detector he didn't like, for example.

I think you will (end-resultant) find 'paying customers' will have nearly identical (or better) reports/resultants..... vs....... what has been reported thus far.
Re: Still undecided on Impact

It will be hard to get those reports from people who purchase them at this point....they are not yet available.

It is interesting I have not read much from the UK? That is a very important area to read about their thoughts on this machine...

Can the "regular folks" top our team: Keith,Michigan,LowBoy,NASA Tom,et al ?? I know God loved the common man--he made so many of them, but I'll rely on Our Team.

"Don't know if anyone in the UK was involved in prototyping???
Did Ziggy get one?"
Re: Still undecided on Impact
March 26, 2017 08:01PM
{Ziggy} he doesn't seem to be posting on the impact, he is really using the Deeptech a lot these days...nice chap really good hunter..makes very good testing videos on different machines. Just don't think the impact has a base in the UK even UK gary doesn't mention it but he seems married to the deus and I think works for the company also. Gary really didn't like the racer from what I caught from one of his videos. I think the impact is in the top five units out right now in the U.S...And it may spur some developers to top it, but I'm sure the impact is going to have a flagship in a couple of years. I would think they are already working on it??? And I think NASA Tom may get Nokta to listen to him even more and develop a new machine. Tom seems to be very excited about the impact but he is a different kind of hunter..He was part of the CZ3D and for it's time that was a sweet coin machine but to slow and not deep enough for relic hunting in my dirt.

So the next step is when the machine is released and the true hardcore hunters which make up about 95% of Tom's forum...they know what a machine needs to do and has to do for them to keep it...That will have legs for about 3 months before we just are rereading the same thing over and over again. Then maybe a new machine will emerge and we will hear some information and then the testing and the release. I hope we see a few detectors come out this year.

Only 2 testers in the UK Ziggy and Iain Crozza so only 2 Impacts in the UK Iain Crozza says hes had hammered coins using every frequency (5,14,20) and that the Impact is deeper than the F75 and Deus and Rutus.
