Cooper's Treasure

This show is about U.S. astronaut Gordon Cooper, who flew as one of the original astronauts of project mercury, what makes this show so intriguing is that as he orbited earth, he was jotting down anomalies of earth in the oceans, that eventually turned out to be shipwrecks.

A fellow named Darrell Miklos, who Gordon treated like his own son, is taking the reams of data and finding shipwrecks.

As proof that such an undertaking is possible, the anomaly that was the Atocha , found by Mel Fisher's team in 1985, had already been noted by Gordon 22 years earlier.

The ongoing series has new episodes that come out every Tues. at 10:00pm.


It's pretty darn interesting, anyone else checked it out ?

Cooper was proven to be something of a flimflam/scam artist/failure once he left NASA. And the 'notes' he took are an impossibility. See James Oberg's narratives on the subject.
Scripted BS like all the rest of those shows.

(Cooper was a great man/hero as an astronaut, don't get me wrong)

I've been watching it on demand...Sort of cool..

I like that Expedition Unknown show too..

Treasure hunting seems to be made for reality TV shows..

Oak Island not bad either ..SOMETIMES.

I Love watching all the above shows especially Expedition Unknown with my 9yo son. Even though every episode ends like Al Capone's vault it's entertaining.
