First Texas changed the CZ rods. Compatibility?
August 24, 2017 05:58PM
I've been wanting to get spare middle rods for my favorite CZ, in order to make changing coils easier. I notice that First Texas has changed the design of the rods. On older CZ machines, the middle rod has a collar on both ends. On the most recent First Texas CZ machines, the middle rod only has one collar and the second collar is instead mounted on the upper rod.

Is this new style middle rod the same rod that is used on the F75 and various other Fisher machines?

They have done this on the Gold Bug 2 also [www.detectorprospector.com]

No doubt standardizing the design between all the models.

I hate the fact they are using the cheap type arm cup on the New CZ-3Ds. It looks like it would not keep the Detector uprite. And it looks cheap. Takes away from the tank like look of the CZ. JMHO.
