They really tapped into the quirky sometimes to the point of maladjusted behavior of detectorist as the outside world views in upon us,Yet its that true passion about something that can bring BEHAVIORS to the surface!!

I need to find time to tune in to season three!!

The only thing negative I can say about Detectorists is how few episodes are in a season. The humor is definitely British, drier than the Mojave, the show is both funny and touching.

When Russell and "young" Hugh go about trying to return an old prison ID tag in season 3, that is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.

The guy who plays Andy, Mackenzie Crook, is also the writer and director. I would give long odds that in real life he detects. Despite many over the top situations, the show just gets it when it comes to our hobby. Great stuff!

I just downloaded season 3 episodes, now just have to watch them.

Bit funny when Andy takes a water drink from the chemical sprayer...Simon and Garfunkel characters are great.
Maybe people will respect our choice of hobby just a little if they watch the show.

My neighbor and friend not in the hobby likes it too and actually mentioned the show for me to watch. Every time I find a great keeper I email him a picture.

Yes Crook is a detectorist in real life..

I saw an interview with him and he admitted to not finding much but having a love for it .
