The Pro-Fins is a VLF detector. Most of them have issues with ground signal noises in high mineralization in spite of having ground balance functionality.

Over on Steve H’s forum, an owner reported that his would not function well in wet salt even at reduced power. Minelab apparently recommends that you GB it immersed in the salt water first - no info on what that does to sensitivity - especially to small low conductors.

The new pinpointers from First Texas are PI machines and testers have reported that they are relatively immune to ground noise.

When I FINALLY receive the Equinox, I will be posting videos on my channel with live digs and in depth testing. So areas have "four bar" dirt, but no where near as bad as SE USA.
