I'd like a ceasefire

Not because I surrender. Not because I think these people I'm arguing with are right. I have never been the type to back down when I believe I am right, and I certainly don't back down to bullies and aggressive sociopaths.

But I have to back down for the betterment of this forum. It's not fair to anyone else on this forum that has to see this.

I am sorry to everyone that had to witness it. If the other people that are involved can't sort themselves out, everyone will see that clearly.

Tyberos----I know I made the statement that I wasn't even going to respond to you--but--I'm going to say this---If you (and coinut) will go back & read past post/responses--you will see that it was you (Tyberos) that set this whole thing off initially.-----You singled out members (myself included) & made your little "attack" on them.---What did you expect???----You never were in the military were you?----I made one statement (in jest) back then--"All quiet on the Minelab front gentlemen".----At that time it was (and had been) very quiet from Minelab.------For that I get this "attack" from you telling me (in effect) to shut up & keep my mouth shut.----You forget these other guys---this is just between you & I (on this part)---just you & I.------I do think you are correct on one thing---there needs to be a "cease fire" here---so this great forum can get back to the way it once was (and can be again).-------D&P

This IS NOT going any further---IT IS OVER WITH!------The answer to your question---"quiet on the front" is a military phrase signifying (relative) quiet.-----I'm done with this!

And although I've never read "All Quiet on the Western Front", I understand the phrase "quiet on the front". I just thought there was some other meaning to your post, because in all my time in the military, no one ever talked about "the front". We said "downrange", "the sand box", "OCONUS". We NEVER said "the front". Were you in the service?

To answer what you first said, I only told you to shut up because you were backing up what was basically an attack on Brandon and insinuating that a non-response from him is a non-response from Minelab. I didn't know you would be so angry as to go on in multiple threads invoking my name and coming up with ridiculous insults for me.

Fine by me if you want to drop it.

I guess I missed some threads that would give me more insight to what this is all about.

I will say that Del and I have been forum friends for many years and he is A-OK in my book. I'm sure he would be more than happy to drop all this.

You made me chuckle so I'll applaud your sense of humor...and for me humor always trumps anger.

Which brings me to a few totally irrelevant hateful thoughts. I guess it's not his fault, but I hate the way our president has hijacked a wonderful word like trump.

And I hate that I can't say has anyone seen my thongs (now widely referred to as flip-flops) without people giving me a really strange look.
