Thanks for the tips I appreciate it. I have a Q20, I’m still shocked how good this machine is for the price.

You guys are welcome I bought one for my son for Christmas and it is a amazing machine for the cost. I think it is a sleeper machine that most people think is a junky Chinese detector but now using it I think it out performs a lot of machines that cost 2-3 times what a Q20 cost.

Thanks for the tips. I bought one from the suggestions here. UNBELIEVABLE machine (Q20) for the money. I am teaching my 10 year old how to use it and it always strikes me "I paid around 250 bucks for this????". We have come a long way.
And GREAT machine for little people, fully adjustable.

I dont believe these guys are in the business of making junky gear -

their X-Pointer blew the doors off the GPP for reliability, price and added accessories

Has anyone put a 9 x 11 coil on their Q20? Wondering how well it does.

I haven't tried one of the 9x11 coils but I bet it will be a bit deeper and give you more ground coverage and the only negative I would say is that the target separation may not be as good.

Q20 is supposed to have the same performance as the Q40 per Jason, the Q20 just has less features.
To see what guys are finding, check out the 3 main Facebook groups, just search Quest Metal Detectors.
Quest Offical Company group
Quest UK group, most popular, many members
Quest International group, run by Koostra Detectors in the Netherlands

I like the 5x9 coil and use it more often, the 9x11 coil does go deeper, separation still good on the Q40.

DeepTech Vista X with 3 search coils.
Works for me
