Having a slight glitch when posting

This has been happening lately when making a post on the forum. This is the message that I get - The message could not be posted. The exact same message has already been posted before and posting duplicate messages is not allowed in this forum.

I am making posts using my cell phone. It doesn't bother me just not sure why it is happening.

I got that too the other day, and then I just noticed that it double posted the post ..... odd. I reported the double post for deletion.

Don't know if it's the same thing, but the bug I have with the forum is how it hangs everytime I make a post and click on post message. It takes forever for the message list page to (re) load. Occasionally, I will click again on the post message button and THAT is what gives me the pink/reddish error screen telling me I've tried to post a message twice. So when I click on the post message button, the message is obviously posted without delay, but there is a l-o-n-g delay waiting for the message list screen to show up.

Is that what you are seeing, SkiWhiz?

I have noticed this VERY same issue, Wayne. Hitting the post button, and then it's taking a LONG time for the forum to respond, and return to the "forum index."

Gentlemen,

Sometimes the postings to the forum are slow due to server traffic. Dankowski Detectors is hosted on a shared server, so sometimes other websites on this server can cause a slowdown due to traffic to their site. When posting from your phone,quite often cell tower traffic or being in a fringe reception area between two cell towers can cause the posting to be slow. If it's too slow, the Dankowski Detectors website server might 'time out'. If this is just an occasional problem, there's not much I can do. If it becomes persistent from the server's end,my only recourse is to change internet hosting providers.

Can't speak for others. I'm always on my computer, not phone, and I can't remember the last time it didn't hang for 35 to 55 seconds before the message list appears after posting a message.
